She let go; breathe shuddering as she released the tension on the drawstring. A black arrow glided through the air and wedged itself into the clicker’s head. Despite the armoured plating that they boasted with their fungi-covered faces, carbon fibre was still lethally fatal when placed with deadly accuracy. It should have given Jaehyun sufficient time to face the incoming threats, but his covering of his right arm told her otherwise. Soojung drew another arrow with haste, nocking it onto her bow and bringing the drawstring to her lip as if to aim. Jaehyun couldn’t die so easily. She wouldn’t let him.

A curse hissed under her breath as she heard the gunshot. Because loud noises around clickers is a great idea. Now wasn't quite the time to be picky though, especially with clickers on their heels. She didn't need to be told twice that they had to move.

Even though the male had urged her to go ahead, she wordlessly motioned for him to follow her. Her camp was still quite a distance off, but she was confident they could lose the clickers, possibly even getting to a position where they could strike back. She had a bow, she had arrows, all she needed was distance.

The thudding sound of a fallen clicker didn't go unnoticed as they escaped, and she knew someone was watching them. Helping them, it seemed. Whether they were friend or foe, well, that didn't matter much to her right now. If they had sight of the clickers, they had sight of them, and that thought didn't sit well with her. A quick duck around a corner and into an collapsed building offered a few seconds of relief, but they needed something to hide behind.

Her breaths came shallow as she pressed a finger to her lips, signalling for the other to be as quiet as possible. The audible clicking sound could be heard approaching and she quickly pulled the other down with her as they crouched behind a crumbled wall. Scattered rocks within arm's reach only made this easier as she grabbed a good sized one to throw, aiming for an opening on the other side. The clatter of the object hitting the ground echoed against the walls, and the screech of the clickers as they went towards the sound sent a chill down her spine as she motioned for the other to follow.

Quietly, she lead the way around the maze of debris, but that clicking sound was still a bit too close for comfort. Through cracks in the ceiling she could see an upper floor, and not too far away were some stairs.

She pulled the other close, eyes focused on the stairs ahead of them as she whispered quietly "Wanna outrun them? Or take 'em down?"
