“W-Well, uhh... Not too many noticed I’m a spirit, actually. Not at just my full name. It’s, pretty rare. See?”

A soft gasp passed her lips again, staring in shock as he continued moving closer.. Their lips were even beginning to brush before he suddenly stepped away. Shame flushed clearly on her cheeks as she had been almost leaning in, eyes beginning to flutter shut before suddenly he was gone. “Ugh- Asuto-kun!” The girl huffed quickly, blush evident on her pale skin. 

“I-i told you to stop teasing me like that!” Settling the closest thing to a glare as she could manage on him, before glancing away. “It.. did.. It felt- nice and.. Oh! Why am I even telling you? Just so you can tease me further?” Folding her arms over her chest she turned away briefly. “A-are you going to actually help me? O-or should I just go?”

For a short moment there, Asuto actually felt guilty for his actions; that glare she gave caught him off-guard, enough for the spirit to hold his breath, anticipating something bad to come. As such, his amusement at her reaction was restrained, and he was nearly put to shame; but, soon enough, she affirmed his assumption. What a relief. Releasing a huff, he closed his eyes, turned fully away from the girl.

“What you felt. Right there.” He began, reclaiming his seat; “That is the feeling we’re gonna go for.” The Earthly Scales could now properly look into her eyes, calmed down from that small moment of tension just there. He eyed the girl briefly, scanning her figure up and down, and again, leisurely. “You’ve got a nice lead, at least. You’re honestly one of the prettiest spirits around, and amazingly cute too. We can use that.”

She stared at him, mentally sighing. “I’m here for a duel guild mission.”

“Really? I think you’re in the wrong place then, babe.” He shifted about in his seat, resuming his position once more; “There aren’t any guilds around here.”

“Well, it’s a good start, right? That way we can get a little bit more comfortable with each other before the date.” The red head blanched. Not even ten minutes into knowing the spirit and he already wanted Reiki to ask Violet out? “N-No, I can’t do that. Not right now. We haven’t even gone out for that coffee yet.”

“Oh, screw that coffee!” He rudely announced, raising his head high as he looked with confidence at the opposing redhead. Giving him a forceful, but light push to his head. “That coffee ain’t gonna help you! Field practice will! Though, on the other hand...” Turning away, the spirit held at his chin in thought, pondering out loud to himself. “She would be expecting it to be just coffee, but you could just turn it into an actual date by surprise... Great! Awesome thinking! You’re better than I gave you credit for, partner.”

“So that means you’re one of those…celestial spriit things?”

“Ohh. I mistook people around this place. Sharp of you to notice~”

“A-asuto-kun..” Blue eyes widened, surprised by his sudden movements, coming closer to her yet again. She hadn’t been expecting the situation to take such a sudden turn, her heart beginning to race as he closed the distance between them, “W-what do you mean..?” For the first time she didn’t try moving away, tilting her head up to stare at him in surprise, his touch seemed to freeze her to the spot. He couldn’t possibly be insinuating he was interested in her..

“Oh, come on, Honoka-chan.” He said, slowly bringing his face closer as his voice weakened. Lightly pulling the girl towards him at the same time. “Even you can tell what I mean~...” He leaned forward, gradually coming closer, bringing his lips towards her’s; building up for a kiss. --Though, at near zero distance, Asuto separated himself, quickly straightening his back and skipping off a step away.

“--Well?” He asked, turning his head to look back to her; “How’d that feel? Made your heart race~?” He teased; though while at it, looking to affirm to himself.

“Yup, partners.” A wide smile brightened his features. “My part? Uh…Yeah, probably. Every time I talk to the girl I like, I get super flustered. I wanted to ask her out, but only succeeded in asking her to get coffee with me. I definitely need some help.”

Typical shyness; Asuto could familiarize himself with this problem. Patting the redhead’s shoulder, the spirit gave three clicks of his tongue, shaking his head three times. “Just coffee ain’t gonna cut it.” That much was obvious. “But you did manage to ask her out, and that’s kinda good~ That said, I need to see you in the field. We’re gonna ask her out, right now.”

     It definitely was an odd day. that was for sure. These things didn’t normally happen, and not just because the town she lived in was boring and uneventful. There were always little things here and there, but a random stranger having a fit right in front of her was out of the ordinary. Maybe it was going to be an interesting day, and one she wouldn’t regret leaving the house for.

     She watched as the stranger took his time, worry present on her face. She wasn’t planning on leaving until she was sure he was okay. Groceries could wait, since they weren’t in need of her help. She leaned down to him after looking around for the help that was supposed to come, but she didn’t see them. She’d just comfort him for now.

“ I hope you don’t mind that I stick around.. I’m just worried that no one will come. I can always take you back with me and you can rest. “

Still shivering, Asuto had not dared look up at the crowding he most likely had attracted with that little show of his. His thoughts racing through his mind, the spirit degraded and criticized his behavior quite harshly, only wanting to curl up and escape back to his home plane. But he couldn’t do that just yet; couldn’t bring himself to dig the key out of his top and force the gate to close.

“Y-Yes...” He silently let out, voice trembling a little; “--Thanks.” Not every day you get to meet someone who won’t derange you for a display like that. Lightly lifting up his gaze, he looked to the unknown girl’s face, taken aback a little at her presence. Even if she obviously meant good, and he knew it. “It’s, okay if no one’ll come, actually...” He started, trying to sound more cheerful as he forced a smile; yet, his voice broke on his words regardless. “I’ll, manage, somehow.”

     This wasn’t something she liked to deal with, at all. She herself had a terrible gag reflex, so this just made her feel sick. But, there was the fact that something might be wrong with him. So, turning to the nearest person, she asked if they could call someone to help. She took out some water she had in her bag and handed it to him, leaning down so she could be level with him.

“ Just try and calm down, don’t push yourself, okay? Did you eat anything that may have done this? “

Seems like he was finally done after that last one; though the taste and the horrid burning sensation on his throat wasn’t pleasant in the least. Not that the act on itself was any better... Breathing heavily some more, catching his breath properly, Asuto crawled away from the repulsing mixture he just laid on the floor again; plopping himself down on his behind on sitting, fringe hiding away his eyes.

“...Thanks...” He silently let out, woozily grabbing at the water bottle- first, splashing some over his hand and cleaning his mouth and face a bit, before taking some to drink. This was most definitely one of the worst days he had outside... He might as well would have chosen to disappear right there, on the spot, and never come to this city again.

  “H-hai! I wish for you to teach me how to flirt!” Even though she tried to sound quite in charge, it was meek and sounded more as if she were asking for permission. She saw his playfully attitude dancing behind those red eyes of his, “I-i do..” A large blush covered her cheeks as she push her hair behind her ear, the white flower moving briefly. “P-please take this seriously Asuto-kun!”

Another chuckle escaped the Earthly Scales’ lips as the girl in-front attempted to take charge; though still didn’t sound too convincing. Sending himself out of his chair, his braid fluttering through the air for a short moment, he closed in on the opposing spirit once again, quick to reach for her hand and chin. “You know, Honoka-chan.” He started, gradually bringing himself closer; holding her right hand gently and thumb and finger framing her chin. “I am taking this seriously. I always take you seriously...” He spoke in a low, silent tone; further closing the distance between their faces.

     Luckily, she’d been able to move out of the way in time, but it was just by a second. It wasn’t every day this happened, but even though she was tempted to, she couldn’t just leave him there.

“ Oh, god.. Are you okay? “

Panting, the spirit slumped down on all four, laying just above the puddle he had created. He was humiliated; having to let out that out in the open like this, and in broad daylight too. So much for making a good first impression... “I-... I t-think...” Trying to swallow down his steadily descending saliva, Asuto waved a shaky hand at the blond.

But he spoke too soon; as another wave burst out unexpectedly, once more in a grotesque sight.

“There aren’t too many who go by ‘The Earthly Scales’ so it wasn’t that hard to tell.” The male watched as the other searched under his top. His eyes widened when he saw the key. So he was an uncontracted spirit, huh?“Nice to meet you, Asuto. As I said earlier, I’m Reiki.” He offered his hand to the other.

Still smirking, satisfied with himself, the spirit returned his key back to where he usually stored it; Hurrying to grab at the redhead’s hand in a friendly manner. “Nice to meet you too.” He uttered out, shaking it firmly. “This officially makes us partners, man. We gotta start working on your part ASAP, right?”

“That would probably honestly be the best thing to do at this point. Don’t want any trouble now would we at all.” He said moving to cross his arms over his chest, giving the smallest of a glare to the other.

Oh shit. He really pissed off this guy... Immediately ashamed of his actions and feeling the utter need to just beat it, Asuto did exactly that; pulling out his key. “I shouldn’t have gotten involved in this!! Aaah, how stupid of me! You can’t call this ‘reputation’!!” He talked to himself, Magic appearing as his figure slowly faded away.

        Taeja nodded, “a bit easier-” When he grabbed her     hand the girl shifted awkwardly. Does she let go? Was     this guy like the little precious kid that did just the same     a couple days ago? That kid had called her pretty so     maybe- She couldn’t help but look away when he called     her that. The earth mage didn’t pay much attention to     her appearance like most Fairy Tail mages.

        “Taeja- Who are you?”

Nodding at her name, Asuto stared into her eyes for a moment before slowly bringing himself closer to her hand, at the same time pulling it towards himself. “I’m Asuto.” He remarked, and planted a small kiss down the back of the girl’s hand, letting it go as the spirit straightened himself up. “It’s a pleasure to meet you~”

At someone standing up to him like that, Asuto immediately drew back. Entire posture- flipped. “Uhh-, Ummm... S-Sorry, I-I’ll take my leave here!”
