This is probably going to be the most painful thing ever. Well, besides when we actually leave for the states on Wednesday (what!?) This has been absolutely, hands down my favorite place. It's a sleepy little beach town in the off season, just what we needed at the end the jam-packed trip we've had. The people are the epitome of Moroccan Hospitality, and if you walk into their shop and you don't buy anything they say thanks for coming in and they don't chase after you shouting lower prices or rude insults. After our amazing lunch and nap yesterday we went and had drinks at a cafe on the beach until dinner. We had dinner at a really cool restaurant called Taros. I had a seafood Pastilla which was great. Today we had our final class session before our group presentations in Casablanca on Tuesday. We then we given money to plan and go on an excursion as a leadership challenge. One group ended up doing a scavenger hunt around the city. Jill and I both ended up doing a cooking class. Hands down probably the best decision we made besides coming on this trip to begin with. We made an eggplant purée salad (like baba ganoush) and lamb tajine with red onion, almonds and prunes and lots of spices. It's a traditional Moroccan tajine. While we were waiting for our food to cook in the tajine a (its a process) we took a trip to a spice shop and got to have a tea with 15 different herbs and smell all the different spice combinations they make. It was heaven! We spent earlier in the day doing a little it of shopping and on the beach (Jill even got in!). All in all its been a great couple of days here, and if it isn't obvious by my uber enthusiasm for this city, were really going to miss it.
