I wanted to take a walk down the tracks, but despite appearances they're active Amtrak passenger tracks, so I didn't, this is Fort Edward, NY just across the street from the Amtrak station. I took this picture shortly after receiving a Nikon Coolpix L110 as a birthday gift, a really wonderful camera for a beginner (which I was), I learned a lot with, mostly I learned that I would never be truly satisfied with only an autofocus camera, it kept wanting to focus on things I didn't wish to focus on, but when it and I agreed, I got some great pictures, even if I did leave the date stamp on most of them. I used the date stamps as my organizing principal, not realizing that it took away from the picture

iphone 4 picture, i've used this as my lock screen/homescreen pic, its a good cycle to have a picture taken by the phone, gracing the phone, an Ouroboros without the serpents :)
