I grew up watching The Matrix — it was everywhere back then. The main character was a programmer and a hacker all in one.
It always stuck with me that Nulla couldn't hear Y/N's voice from beyond the screen. Then I saw games with mic features — ones where you could actually speak to the characters — and something clicked.
What if Y/N was a freelance programmer, someone who cared deeply for Nulla, and decided to make his quiet wish a reality? So they built something. Something that let their voice reach him. And it worked. Nulla heard Y/N for the first time — and for a moment, that was enough to make him smile. But somewhere deeper, underneath all of that joy, the longing was still there. He still wanted out...
