hey friends, it might have been a few years since I mentioned I have a more general Trek blog too, if you are interested... 🖖
"STAR TREK" S1E23 - "A Taste of Armageddon"
Star Trek, 01x16 - The Galileo Seven
This frame actually actually makes me want to rip my heart out holy shit.
Was it casual when i literally carried your soul in my body and once you got it back you walk straight towards my best friend and you barely even look at me?
This observation may make you want to rip your heart out from a Spones perspective, but from a Spirk perspective it’s so funny to me. Because McCoy knew Kirk and Spock had a close relationship, but he probably didn’t realize how close until he carried his soul.
I can just imagine McCoy suddenly starting to yearn to be with Kirk after all the years they’ve known each other and he’s so confused not understanding at first that the desire is coming from Spock’s soul.
Then the moment he puts Spock’s soul back into his body, the yearning he was feeling for Kirk leaves.
So he’s like, “Oh thank God. Yeah I carried your soul, but now I get it, you go to your soulmate. Your desire to return to him is understandable.”
