I will tag these things as ()tw, but you need to curate your own space and not follow me if that will bother you. Jimmy is a canonical attempted murderer and is emotionally abusive to his daughter. This is a villain and while I want him to grow and change, that will only happen with a lot of development and I will not tone him down.

I prefer novella/multiparagraph writing but will sometimes write less.

Please do not touch my muse's tail without my explicit OOC consent, unless we are both on the same wavelength and are shipping partners. I had problems with this in the past.

JIMMY CRYSTAL.

Jimmy is a male Arctic wolf, in his late 50s, and about 5'10. He is the owner of Crystal Towers and a famous musical/TV/film producer-- beloved on the outside for his creative genius, until he was exposed for the attempted destruction of Buster Moon and taken to jail. He has an adult daughter named Porsha, who he has a turbulent relationship with. He's also a huge fan of Clay Calloway. Now free, Jimmy is conflicted between getting revenge and trying to be a good father. As I write him, he is also a closeted queer man, hence why he has not sought a new lover since the divorce.

   When the wolf grabbed his hand, his fur bristled as a wave of slight panic swept over him. In seconds though, he realized that Crystal was ushering him more forward in his hurried state. Once Buster realized this, he shifted his stance with a pull free from the grasp. He might be small, but he was used to the pace to keep up with others with much taller legs than himself.

   Buster allowed the other to lead as he was the one with the most knowledge on the particular bag they were looking for, the short escape from the outside chill welcoming. Meanwhile, he left Crystal's prior question unanswered. Instead, he focuses on the second — one he regarded with a forced laugh. Okay then.

   ❝Off to the right, just down this way~❞ Buster says this as he takes the turn in the direction, leading on as his eyes trace for colors of neon green. ❝Do you remember what brand this bag was exactly? I doubt we'll get lucky in the first store, but it's always good to check.❞

"Eh, probably Fendi or somethin'." Crystal poked around in the aisle for anything that matched Porsha's dream. "You know how she is. Always wants the best."

He sounded slightly disparaging, but if anyone was to blame for Porsha's expensive habits, it was him: the man with the golden sinks and marble floors and custom art and statues.

"Dunno if they'd do neon, though."

He pulled something off the rack and showed it to Buster.

"This is sorta like it, but the color ain't right." It was green, but not green enough. More of a sea color than the bright rave green of Porsha's purse.

Buster's second comment made Jimmy's tail bush up.

"... Hold on a sec, now. You people go to multiple stores?"

     ❝ Here– ❞  Buster says as he holds out a wrapped chocolate rose with a tiny, fuzzy koala charm hugged around the stem.  ❝ Happy Valentine’s Day! ❞

“… What’s your game, Moon?” Jimmy was perplexed. He gawked at the rose, then squinted down at Buster. “Did someone tell you food was the way to my heart?”

“’Cause they were right!”

“I raised Porsha to be tough, just like me! She could manage just fine on her own, she don’t need you!” Jimmy snarled. “Do you think my money ain’t good enough, Moon? Do you think she ain’t got nothin’ else to fall back on, no one else I know who could take her in, no backup plan just in case…”

Buster’s words came from high up and rang in his ears: “she misses you, you know!”

And whatever words Jimmy had left died in his throat.

He barely noticed Buster slip inside and shut the window, and though his head was screaming at him to race inside and get after him, his legs were frozen in place. All he could do was stand there and stare.

This whole time, he hadn’t cared as much as he could have about if he went back to jail, as long as he got his claws on Buster Moon. Sure, he wanted to avoid it, but the feeling of winning would’ve been worth the extra trouble.

If he got his way tonight, and even the slightest thing went wrong and he got found out, he might very well never see Porsha again.

She would hate him.

Crystal wrenched himself out of his shock-induced stupor and took a step back, with an aggressive yet dismissive wave in the building’s direction.

“…Bah!” he spat… and glared for some time longer…

And turned and trudged off into the night.

   Now that the window was secured with a lock, not even knowing what building he was in now ( was that considered trespassing? ), Buster now needed to make his next move to continue to put distance between him and Crystal… and yet, his eyes noticed how the wolf was now standing out there; frozen.

   Shoes shift against the floorboards as he slowly begins to back away from the window, but the koala doesn’t take his stare off Jimmy. Could he see him? Was he making a plan of action to try and get to him? It was when the other finally seemed to shake back into focus did Buster shrink down and crouch on the ground, hopefully not to be seen.

   After a few moments of silence, aside from the rushing blood of his thumping heart roaring in his ears, Buster peeks back out and sees Crystal walking away. Away. Does that mean he gave up? Maybe, if only just for the night.

   Buster would remain in that spot for a good moment longer, making sure the wolf wouldn’t return, before he carefully returned to the theater; locking every door and window that he could in the process before leaving to head home to his apartment.

   Even if he had managed to get away from Crystal this time, he was now full of dread and was nervous he could try to get him at anytime anywhere in the future.

Buster and Jimmy Christmas Shopping - Continuing from old thread.!

"Oh, yeah? Like what?" Crystal asked, cracking a little grin. But Buster was right - they needed to hurry. Porsha had shown Jimmy pictures of the handbag she wanted, and it didn't look like there were too many of them in stock.

If Jimmy was in this for "good father points", he couldn't settle for just any bag that fit that description. It had to be that specific one.

He hurried forward a little bit, then stopped to go back and grab Buster by the hand. The koala's short legs were slowing them down!

"Okay, tell me. Where's the purse section?" Jimmy asked, taking a turn at the hanging sign that said "women." "You would know."

Hey, he was still the same old wolf. He needed to get a tease in somehow.

   Watching Crystal think about this– like, actually think about this –gave hope to Buster. Even if he may come up with nothing, this seemed to show that the wolf was serious about his care here ( and that’s what mattered the most! )

   But luckily, there was an inkling of an idea. A neon green handbag… Buster was familiar with many popular brands when it came to fashion, and he does recall a time Porsha had brought up something like it. Big ears lift as a smile curves his mouth, knowing that if they could get this handbag – it would be the perfect gift for her.

   ❝She has, actually~!❞ Buster responds, gesturing up towards Crystal with a newfound giddiness. ❝If-If we can find that bag, I know just the thing to personalize it. But our first step is to find it–❞

   –and with Christmas just a few days away, this may prove to be a difficult task. But here they were in a strip of stores they could check together. ❝There’s no time to waste.. let’s get looking!❞

I originally deleted my blog bc I was having severe medical issues (still am, worse now!) and they were affecting me mentally. I was also just uncomfortable and overwhelmed-- but I'm back now! I missed Jimbo >:)
