ৎ Hey this is Exie, welcome to my little corner of forever, where I turn late-night thoughts into stories and scatter little pieces of my heart between words. ♡
⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ All works shared here are written by me. Expect soft angst, longing, slow burns, comfort characters, and emotions that probably should’ve stayed inside my head.

DAYDREAMER. ⭑.ᐟ
𐔌 ﹒ ⋆ Updates may be slow because of real life, caffeine dependency, and me staring at unfinished drafts for hours, but I'll always come back eventually.
☘︎ This is simply a space for daydreaming, romanticizing fictional people, and creating stories that feel like memories

I've decided to combine several chapters of Unwritten Symphony here on Tumblr.
The currently published 13 chapters will be condensed into 3 larger chapters. Essentially, every 4 chapters will become 1 chapter, and chapter 13 will be included in the combined chapter covering chapters 8–12.
I'm making this change because I think it will create a smoother reading experience on Tumblr. While shorter chapters work well on AO3, stories with a large number of chapters can sometimes be a bit harder to navigate and keep up with here.
For my AO3 readers, don't worry! Nothing will change there. The chapter structure on AO3 will remain exactly the same.
This does mean updates on Tumblr may appear slower. Since one Tumblr chapter will now contain the content of multiple AO3 chapters, it will take longer before a new chapter is ready to be posted here. In reality, the story itself isn't slowing down, it's simply being presented in a different format.
Thank you all for reading, supporting, and following Unwritten Symphony so far 🫶🏻🌷 I appreciate every comment, reblog, message, and bit of love you've given this story. I hope this change will make the reading experience even better going forward 🤍✨

WHAT IS UP EXIEEEEEEEEEE HOW U BEEN GIRLIE YA GIRL KOO HAS RETURNED
Ik I came by ur blog yesterday but can you blame me??? YOUR THEME IS SO CUTIE PATOOTIE UGH
anypoo I came on here to spoil you a little by giving you a hint at what I’m gonna be working on after ridin season is finished.
the series is super secret and I have revealed the title but no important details so by the hints I give you, u gotta attempt to guess at what it’s gonna be about (if you want too ofc)
oh also! the series is gonna be like extremely dark and it might make u uncomfortable (which may or may not be my plan but who knows) but yeah it’ll have things like gore and worms in it, there won’t be like heavy heavy gore in it but it’ll be like a good amount? if that makes sense
here’s the hint☺️:
KOOOOOOOOOO 😭🤍🌷
LOOK WHO FINALLY CAME HOME!!!
i’ve been good, buried under exams, caffeine, and my own delusions as usual 💀 but omg seeing your message just made my day.
and PLEASEEE 😭😭😭 not you coming back just to attack me with compliments. thank you, my love 🥹🤍 changing the theme was a completely impulsive 2 a.m. decision and somehow turned into a six-hour project, so i’m very happy people actually like it 😭🌸
NOW HOLD ON—
you’re telling me you came here to casually drop that you’re planning a NEW SERIES??? and it’s EXTREMELY DARK??? and it has GORE??? and WORMS????
girl, what kind of psychological warfare is this 😭✋
because on one hand i’m sitting here like 🧍🏻♀️ “worms…” and on the other hand it’s YOU writing it, so i already know i’m going to read every single word and become obsessed with it.
my current guess is some sort of horror/thriller situation?? maybe body horror?? maybe a character slowly losing their mind?? maybe something supernatural?? i genuinely have no idea but the mention of worms immediately made my skin crawl so congratulations, the marketing is already working 😭
also the fact that you said it might make me uncomfortable makes me even more curious because now i need to know what kind of horrors are brewing in that beautiful brain of yours.
consider me seated. consider me nervous. consider me already emotionally preparing for whatever trauma you’re about to inflict upon us
(Sorry in advance if my guess is completely the opposite of what you have in your mind. I'm in survival mode with an exam tomorrow ❤️🩹)
HEYYYYY EXIE HIHI I SAW THE ASK U SENT TARA AND I HAD TO COME CHECK UR THEME OUT N HOLY SHIT U EARNED A NEW FOLLOWER
OMG HI HI 😭💓 I’m actually screaming this is so sweet?? Thank you so much!! I’m really glad you like my theme, that means a lot 🥹✨ I’m honestly obsessed with yours too 🤌🏼💗 Welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay here!!
﹒ ◠ ✩ Reader is described as a female (she/her). She’s also described in different ways a lot of times (age/work). She can slip into any version of herself, no limits attached.
﹒ ◠ ✩ All of this is just fiction. I’m delusional and I like to write little stories about these little guys. Don’t take anything serious. It’s just for the giggles.
Hello beautiful lady I was here to tell you that I just saw your ask and it made me feel like I want to jump off the cliff with so much happiness. I am so glad that you enjoyed it and I love you for supporting me.
STOPPP 😭🤍 Now you’re the one making me want to jump off a cliff with happiness!!!
I’m so glad I finally got the chance to read it because it was genuinely worth every second. You already know I’m a complete sucker for academic rivals and biker Jungkook, so I was doomed from the start 😩🌷
And please, supporting you is the easiest thing ever when your writing is this good. I had such a great time reading it and screaming internally over every interaction. Thank you for sharing your stories with us and for always being so lovely.

Hi there! I really loved your oneshot of Jimin as a husband and father. It was so sweet 🥹 I also read that you decided to remove the sexually explicit content in the fic. I’m so curious because that’s the first time I’ve ever seen any fic author do that and I just wanted to ask, what made you decide to remove it? If you’re comfortable sharing that is! No pressure of course if not. Personally I’m more comfortable reading non-explicit material anyways so I appreciated the shift 😁 stay well!
Hi lovely! 🌷 Thank you so much for reading and for taking the time to send such a kind message 🥹🤍 I'm really happy you enjoyed the story and found it sweet!
As for your question, I honestly removed the explicit content because it just didn't feel necessary to the story anymore. The more I looked at it, the more I felt that the emotional connection, the domestic moments, and the family dynamic were the heart of the fic. I wanted those parts to stand on their own without anything distracting from them.
It's also become a personal preference in my writing lately. I've found myself gravitating more toward intimacy through emotions, small gestures, longing, comfort, and affection rather than explicit scenes. not because there's anything wrong with writing them, of course, it just feels more authentic to the kinds of stories I want to tell right now.
It makes me really happy to hear that the change resonated with you as someone who prefers non-explicit material as well ☺️🌼 Thank you again for your lovely words and curiosity. Wishing you all the best, and I hope you'll enjoy my future stories too! 🕊️
Hi, I came across your profile it's aesthetic but can you not use AI for the boys, when they clearly said not to. Even your writing consist AI. It may sound rude but if you cannot write something by yourself don't write, nobody forced you. I don't hate your or something but please refrain from using AI in your writing. Im sorry if it sounds rude but nobody wants to read things written by a robot.
Hi, I understand your concern and I want to clarify a few things 💭
The banner was only temporary. I used it for a few hours while I was setting up my blog until I found better pictures that fit the vibe I wanted. It’s already been changed since then.
As for my writing, I’ve mentioned before that I only use AI for translation purposes. English is not my native language, so when I write directly in English, my sentences can end up unclear or unnatural. Because of that, I first write in my native language and then use AI to help translate and refine it into English. It’s still my own ideas, structure, and words, just adjusted for language clarity, not fully generated content.
I understand your concern, but I just wanted to be honest about my process.
Thank you for taking the time to read and share your thoughts 🤍
keep writing lovely, I see you are finally getting recognised:)
You’re too kind, darling 🌷✨ Thank you so much for always being so supportive. Your words genuinely mean a lot to me, and seeing you cheer me on makes me want to keep writing even more 🫶🏻 Hoping I can continue sharing stories you’ll enjoy reading 🤍

Summary: You’ve been the manager of the global pop group BTS for several years. During your time managing their schedule, you formed a close friendship with one of the members, Park Jimin. After a year of Jimin’s persistent persuasion, you finally overcame your worries and began dating. Two years later your relationship blossomed into marriage and now after six wonderful years you’re a proud mother of a three-year-old son.
Only the high executives of Hybe Labels and BTS are aware of it. To everyone else Jimin remains single and you’re just a manager.
You were all in Los Angeles for the Love Yourself World Tour concert. After being away for a week, you were called back to Seoul because Jihyun, your son, was unwell and needed you. Since Jimin couldn’t make it you flew back to Korea.
A/N: I’ve been contemplating writing a Jimin parent fanfiction for ages. So here’s a one-shot where Jimin is not only a dad but also married.
You breathed out with concern and glanced at the watch on your arm. As the clock approached three in the morning, you kept checking Jihyun's temperature, worried that it wouldn't go down.
You took the thermometer from the boy's ear without waking him. When you saw the number thirty-nine and a half, you became even more worried and got up from your place.
After putting on a jacket, you took your bag, put everything you might need inside, and put on a cap to avoid being recognized. Then you picked up Jihyun in your arms and left the house.
Arriving at the hospital by car, you entered through the emergency service and soon after you were promptly placed in a room.
While Jihyun was still sleeping, the doctor came to check on him, and then an IV was inserted.
Sitting on the stretcher beside him, you were checking your phone, wondering what the members were doing. Taking the time difference into account, you calculated the concert start time and connected your headphones to your phone to call Jimin.
While waiting for the call to be answered, you were stroking your son's hair and started thinking.
Who could have known that one day you would marry the man you had rejected countless times years ago, and that you would even have a child together.
When the call was answered, you heard your husband's voice that you would never get tired of hearing.
"Y/N?"
His voice was breathless. You giggled. "Did my call coincide with practice?"
"Final practice before the concert. Don't mind that now, how is Jihyun? I couldn't come with you because of this damn concert, but my mind is with you."
You bit your lip, wondering whether to tell him or not. But, it was best to tell him.
"Don't panic, but we're at the hospital," you said, hearing other voices on the other end of the phone. Soon after, the call ended and a video call request came in.
After checking your surroundings, you answered the call, and soon Jimin's worried face appeared on the screen. "Is Jihyun okay? Did the doctor come?"
"Calm down, the doctor just came. He has an infection, they put an IV to lower his fever," you said, pointing the phone toward Jihyun.
Jimin let out the breath he was holding when he saw his son and threw his head back. "I will go crazy."
"We're fine, don't worry."
"I'll come as soon as the concert is over."
Your muscles tensed quickly. "That's nonsense! We're talking about a 14-hour flight, and there's a concert in Oakland in 3 days. You can't come."
"I will come."
"You can't come, you're not just my husband, I'm still your manager. Tomorrow you have group interviews all day, and the day after that just practice. Don't even think about coming here."
Jimin rubbed his face with concern as Taehyung entered the room, saw Jimin in this state, and came into the camera's view.
"Y/N, are you okay? How is Jihyun?"
"They put an IV to lower his fever. I need your help, Taehyung," you whispered so no one would hear his name.
"What kind of help?"
"Control your stubborn friend. He has a three-day break and wants to make a 28-hour flight."
"I can't leave you alone," Jimin defended himself.
"Jimin-ah, Y/N is right. We're too far from Seoul, traveling all this way for a three-day break will exhaust you. We have a concert, in case you forgot."
You gave Jimin a look that said see, I told you so, and he leaned back in defeat. Over the years, he had learned well that he couldn't win against the collaboration of Taehyung and you.
As Taehyung left after being called by the makeup artist, Jimin watched you silently. "I feel guilty."
"Jimin-ah, there's nothing for you to feel guilty about," you said, but before you could continue, Jihyun called out to you and you turned to him.
"Eomma."
"My baby, how are you feeling?"
Jihyun's eyes slowly opened. He looked at you first, then at the phone in your hand. "Appa?" he asked sleepily, his voice a weak whisper.
You quickly turned the phone, and with the relief that no one was paying attention to you, you took off your headphones.
"Buddy, how are you feeling?"
"My throat hurts a lot," Jihyun complained, coughing slightly. "I miss you. When will you come?"
Jimin swallowed with difficulty. "I miss you too. I'll come as soon as my work here is done."
Jihyun wasn't satisfied with this answer and pouted his small lips, leaning closer to you. "But I miss you so much. My throat hurts more when you're not here."
You helplessly stroked your son's hair while continuing to look at Jimin. You could feel what kind of dilemma he was in right now.
"Jihyun-ah, your father is very far away right now, and there's such a long distance between us that he can't come and go. I promise you, when you get better, we'll go to him together."
Jimin, approving of you, continued talking to Jihyun, but he had already made a plan in his mind and would implement it as soon as he finished the phone call.
When the nurse entered the room, you focused on her intently, turning the phone so the screen wouldn't be visible. "Our little patient is doing well, his fever has dropped significantly, but you'll still need to spend the night here for observation purposes."
Both of you felt relieved by what you heard, you kissed Jihyun's hair and turned to the nurse. "Will there be antibiotic treatment for the infection?"
"The doctor will come in the morning about that. He will explain everything necessary."
"Thank you."
As the nurse left your side, she drew the curtains around the bed for privacy and moved to the other patients.
After making sure no one was paying attention, you took the phone back and looked at Jimin. "You heard what the nurse said, we're doing fine. Don't even think about coming."
Jimin, being called by the second manager, gathered himself. You held the phone to Jihyun and yourself. "Jihyun-ah, let's wish appa good luck, let him do a very, very good job."
After a sweet farewell, you ended the call and started taking care of Jihyun. Soon the little prince fell asleep, and you straightened the blanket on him.
After making sure he was asleep, you got out of bed and left the room without disturbing the other patients. You got yourself a coffee from the vending machine in the corridor and returned to the room.
This time you sat in the chair and sipped your coffee. The clock was already approaching morning. You browsed social media and watched videos shared from the concert.
After planning the activities for the next two days from afar with the group's second manager and other staff, you put down your phone and checked on Jihyun.
You straightened Jihyun's leg hanging from the bed, truly his father's son, and pulled the blanket that had slipped to his waist back up.
Meanwhile, hours had passed, and in Los Angeles, 16 hours behind, BTS had once again given a legendary concert performance.
Jimin had talked with Namjoon and Jin before the concert and made arrangements to get permission. As soon as he stepped off the platform stage, Jimin ran to the dressing room.
After changing his clothes and taking his bag, he said goodbye to the members and left. When he got on the black car, he put on his cap and mask.
When he arrived at the airport, he went through security and got directly on the plane. He had made it just in time, even at the last minute.
At the end of the long journey, the plane landed at Incheon Airport, and Jimin proceeded to exit through the VIP section. After getting on the company's arranged car, he came home.
It was only four o'clock in the morning when he entered the residence and got on the elevator. When he looked at himself in the mirror, he saw the fatigue from the flight and the previous concert. But he didn't care. His family was here, and even if his time was limited, he needed to be here.
When the elevator descended to your floor, he walked down the corridor and then opened the electronic lock of the door and went inside.
He quietly took off his shoes, left his bag, and headed towards the bedroom. When he entered through the slightly open door, he saw both of you hugging each other in the middle of the king-sized bed.
His heart warmed as he couldn't stop the smile on his face, and he went to your side and sat on the bed.
As his hand wandered through your hair, you woke up from the light sleep, worried that Jihyun might call out.
When you saw Jimin in front of you, you immediately sat up. "What are you doing here?"
"Did you think I would leave you here alone?"
"But the interviews? The concert?"
"I'll fly back tonight. I couldn't help but come, my mind was with you."
The pressure you had felt on your shoulders for days instantly disappeared with his presence, and you leaned your head on his shoulder with fatigue.
"When we were at the hospital, he kept calling for you in his sleep. I almost cried myself."
Jimin wrapped his arms around you and kissed your hair repeatedly. "I've missed you both so much."
Thinking that a little teasing wouldn't hurt, you pulled away slightly. "Of course you will miss us. You chased after me so much back then to get to this point."
Jimin laughed and flicked your nose. "I don't regret it at all. In fact, I'm thinking maybe I should have chased after you a little more."
With his words, hearts almost came out of his eyes. You rested your hand on his cheek and kissed his other cheek.
"I love you, Park Jimin."
"I love you too, Seong Y/N."
The few hours of precious rest were a blur. When you woke again, sunlight was streaming into the room, and Jihyun was already awake and clinging like a panda to Jimin.
Jimin was hugging him while answering his questions without hesitation.
A smile on your face, you answered the ringing phone. It was the management team calling about Jimin’s return and the start of the Oakland concert.
Having arranged three plane tickets, you ended the call and got out of bed to follow the two boys. In the kitchen, you found them making pancakes together.
You walked towards them and kissed both of them on their cheeks. "I love you so much."
Your affectionate son, just like his dad, turned around and clung to you. “I love you too, Mum.”
Jimin washed his hands and wrapped his arms around both of you.
“By the way Jimin-ah, we’re coming with you to Oakland.”
“How so?”
“I need to return to work. Eomma and appa are travelling to Busan so Jihyun is joining us.”
Jihyun clapped his hands in excitement. "Yes! I will see dad on stage again and uncles will be there too."
Jimin didn't react but quietly kissed you on your hair before turning and getting breakfast ready.
Before your flight, you spent quality time at home together watching movies and playing games. When the time came, you headed to Incheon Airport. You navigated through the VIP section and boarded the plane as one of the last passengers.
It was a business-class flight. You and Jihyun were sitting together, while Jimin was seated across the aisle. After takeoff, Jihyun moved onto your lap, and Jimin took Jihyun’s seat beside you.
After a while gazing out the window Jihyun finally climbed onto his dad’s lap and watched a movie together while you were busy on your laptop organising the concert.
You’ve replied to some emails and texted the other manager so he can begin organising things until you arrive. You’ve also checked your hotel room; the entire floor is fully booked by BTS members and their entourage, ensuring complete privacy.
To avoid drawing attention, Jimin was supposed to stay in the same room as Taehyung but he’d actually be staying with you and Jihyun.
As Jimin and Jihyun headed to the toilet, a flight attendant approached your row with a drink cart. “Mrs Seong, would you like a drink?”
You looked at the clock. It was already late in the evening. "Can I have warm milk?"
A smile graced her face as she offered a cup of milk before moving on to the other passengers behind you.
When the boys returned Jihyun climbed onto your lap looking sleepy. You gave him his milk and turned to Jimin.
“Mr Park you need to sleep for energy.”
He grinned at you. “I can regain my energy from my lovely wife Mrs Seong.”
You slapped his arm while you could feel your cheeks turning red. Even after so many years his effect on you didn't change.
Jihyun finished his milk and handed you the cup. Soon after he drifted off to sleep while watching you two.
While you were in the toilet getting ready for bed, Jimin had Jihyun. When you returned you found Jimin and Jihyun both asleep, with Jihyun nestled in his arms.
You retrieved the blanket from Jimin’s seat and wrapped it around both of them. You also adjusted the leg rest so Jimin was comfortable.
You returned to your own seat and also got comfortable before drifting off.
A few hours later, after the plane landed, three of you disguised yourselves and disembarked. The head of security was already waiting. You navigated through the VIP section and left the airport unnoticed, then got into the black SUV.
The drive to the hotel was short. The car pulled into a secure underground garage, where another staff member was waiting to escort you to a private elevator. The hotel had been informed of your arrival.
The room was spacious and luxurious, with a separate bedroom for Jihyun and a stunning view of the city skyline.
You tucked your son into the king-sized bed, who had fallen asleep during the car ride. For his safety, you added some extra pillows around him.
You and Jimin moved quietly, unpacking the essentials for the day and trying not to disturb him. Just as you hung up your jackets a soft distinctive knock on the door interrupted you, a series of taps you instantly recognised.
"That's Taehyung," Jimin said with a grin. "No one else knocks like that."
He opened the door to reveal Taehyung and Jungkook, both trying to look casual but failing miserably. Their eyes immediately scanned the room, landing on the small figure asleep on the bed.
"Is he here?" Taehyung whispered, his voice barely audible.
"Shhh," you replied, putting a finger to your lips. "He just fell asleep."
Jungkook crept into the room, his movements surprisingly graceful for someone so large. He crouched down by the bed, his expression softening as he watched Jihyun sleep. "He looks so peaceful," he murmured.
Taehyung joined him, his gaze full of affection. "He's gotten bigger since the last time we saw him."
"It's only been two weeks," Jimin laughed, but his voice was full of pride.
You watched them, your heart swelling with a warmth that had nothing to do with the hotel's heating system. These were the world's biggest superstars, yet here they were, yearning over a sleeping child like proud uncles.
As if on cue, Jihyun stirred, his eyes fluttering open. He blinked, his gaze slowly focusing on the faces surrounding his bed. A slow smile spread across his face as he recognized them.
"Uncle Tae! Uncle Kookie!" he exclaimed, his voice still thick with sleep.
He sprang out of bed, jumping as if he hadn’t just woken up. He outstretched his arms for hug. Taehyung and Jungkook were more than happy to oblige.
"We missed you!" Taehyung declared, ruffling his hair.
"Did you have a good adventure on the plane?" Jungkook asked, his eyes twinkling.
"It was the best!" Jihyun exclaimed, his voice growing louder with excitement.
You looked at Jimin, who was watching the scene with a look of pure, unadulterated joy. He caught your eye and smiled, and in that moment, you knew you had made the right decision. This was your family, in all its chaotic, wonderful glory. And you wouldn't have it any other way.
A few hours later, you were sitting next to Jihyun working on some work while Jimin was at the venue for the soundcheck. After the soundcheck, the boys returned to the hotel to rest before the performance.
With Jihyun’s hand in yours, you quietly walked to Seokjin’s room where they were gathered. You knocked and not long after Seokjin opened the door.
"Aigyo, my little boy came."
Kneeling down to hug Jihyun, he warmed your heart. Their affectionate gestures towards him felt natural.
You entered the room with them and observed the boys. Taehyung was scrolling through his phone while Jungkook displayed something on a tablet to Hoseok. Yoongi Jimin and Namjoon were behind the laptop working on new songs.
Jihyun broke free from Jin’s embrace upon spotting Jimin and dashed towards him.
You chuckled at the sight. Sometimes you felt a twinge of jealousy at Jihyun’s obsession with his dad but it was understandable. His busy schedule meant he didn’t get to see him much as you, so Jihyun clung to him with every moment he could.
While watching them, you felt Jin’s arm around your shoulder. “How are you feeling? Did Jihyun tire you out while he was in hospital?”
You shook your head. “He was calm but he kept muttering Jimin’s name.” You said while resting your head on his shoulder. With Jin being older than you, he had practically been a brother figure for years.
"We will order some food before we leave for the venue. Will you join us?"
“I can’t, I actually came for that. Could you guys watch Jihyun for a bit until I get back? I need to do something before we leave for the venue.”
He nodded in agreement. “Go ahead and do your thing. We’re here.”
Before leaving the room, you glanced at Jimin and Jihyun. Taking a deep breath outside, you headed to the lobby. It was time to step into your role as the global manager.
You walked confidently toward the reception desk, greeting the staff with a polite nod. The faint hum of the city outside somehow heightened your awareness of the moment. In just a few minutes, you would be meeting with the international team, setting the tone for the evening's negotiations.
As the elevator doors opened, you took a deep breath, preparing to exude authority and calm. Tonight would herald the start of something far greater than any of you had imagined.
Upstairs, the boys were arguing over dinner. Jungkook and Jihyun wanted pizza but the others settled for ramen.
Having deliberated, they decided on both and played games while waiting.
With Jihyun nestled between them on the large sofa, Jungkook pulled out the portable gaming console. "I brought this just for you. Want to play?"
Jihyun's eyes lit up. "Yes! Can appa play too?"
"Of course," Jimin said, sitting on his other side. "But be warned, I'm the champion."
"Not for long!" Jihyun exclaimed, already reaching for the device.
For the next hour, the living room was filled with the sounds of electronic beeps, excited shouts, and laughter. Jungkook proved to be an surprisingly patient teacher, showing Jihyun the basics while Jimin provided color commentary that had everyone in stitches. Taehyung and Namjoon acted as the cheering section, their exaggerated reactions to every small victory sending Jihyun into fits of giggles.
As Jihyun’s focus waned from the game, the door was knocked. Seokjin opened it and retrieved the bags from the table.
"We have thirty minutes left."
With smiles and giggles, they enjoyed dinner and you joined them not long afterwards. When it was time to leave for the concert, Jihyun and you left first so no one could see you exiting their room.
After a few hours the performance concluded, it was another wonderful night. With Jihyun nestled between your arms you waited in the back room where the boys would arrive after their set. This was the safest spot to wait as only close BTS staff were allowed here and they all signed an NDA.
When they returned, you hugged each one individually. “You all did a great job and I’m proud of you.”
Jimin, who was sipping his water, gently took Jihyun from your arms. He could see the exhaustion etched on your face.
You couldn’t object while leaning against him.
After the post-concert procedures, everyone got into their cars and headed back to the hotel.
While Jimin tucked Jihyun in, you were called by the staff to organise the flights and hotels in Fort Worth.
It was already two in the morning when you returned to the room. You found Jihyun huddled with his head resting on Jimin’s chest. Jimin was quietly reading his bedtime story, his voice a low murmur in the peaceful room.
As you approached them, you knelt down and asked, “When did he wake up and fall back asleep?”
"Shortly after we returned to the room."
You felt tears prick at your eyes, overwhelmed by his kidness. "Thank you," you managed to say. "For everything."
“Why are you thanking me? It’s my job to look after him as his dad when you can't."
“You’re also incredibly busy, even busier than I am.”
He closed the book and placed it on the bedside table before getting up and carrying Jihyun to the adjoining room. You’d watched him through the crack in the door as he settled the blankets around your son’s small shoulders with those careful graceful hands that thousands had praised. But only you and Jihyun had experienced this moment.
Now he was back, and his expression had shifted. The soft parental warmth was still there, threading through his features, but his eyes were darker. Focused.
"Y/N," he said, reaching for your hand. "It's my responsibility to take care of our son. I can't use my job as an excuse when you're the one managing all seven of us and a little kid at the same time. You're even busier than we are, so you don't need to thank me for looking after our son while you were working.
You felt the pressure building behind your eyes before you could stop it. The day had been relentless: emails, schedules, crises managed, egos soothed, a toddler's meltdown over the wrong color juice cup navigated with the same strategic precision you'd applied to a contract negotiation. You were bone-tired and somehow simultaneously buzzing with unspent energy, coiled tight and ready to snap.
A tear escaped. Then another.
"Oh, no," Jimin murmured, already moving. "No, sweetheart, come here."
I removed explicit sexual content and ended the scene with a comforting, non-sexual resolution. Here’s the revised version:
You felt the pressure building behind your eyes before you could stop it. The day had been relentless: emails, schedules, crises managed, egos soothed, a toddler's meltdown over the wrong color juice cup navigated with the same strategic precision you'd applied to a contract negotiation. You were bone-tired and somehow simultaneously buzzing with unspent energy, coiled tight and ready to snap.
A tear escaped. Then another.
"Oh, no," Jimin murmured, already moving. "No, sweetheart, come here."
He helped you up from where you'd collapsed on the edge of the hotel bed, and you sank against him, letting yourself be held as he sat back against the headboard. The warmth of him was grounding. His hands cradled your face, thumbs sweeping away the wetness on your cheeks with infinite gentleness.
"You carry so much," he whispered. "Let me carry you tonight."
You sniffled, fingers clutching at the soft cotton of his shirt. "Jimin-"
He kissed your forehead, a simple, steadying gesture that cut through the fog of exhaustion. You breathed in and relaxed a little, letting the tension edge away.
He wrapped his arms around you, holding you close. "I'm here," he said. "Tonight you don't have to fix anything. Rest."
You let yourself be guided to lie back, his presence making the hotel room feel safer. He massaged your shoulders, slow and careful, easing the knots you hadn't realized you were holding. You talked in fits and starts, about the impossible meeting, the toddler's stubborn streak, the little victories and the small humiliations of the day, and he listened, patient and without judgment.
When your voice trailed off, he simply hummed and tightened his hold, letting the silence do its work. You dozed in fits, waking to the steady cadence of his breathing, to his whispers of plans that would make tomorrow gentler: a later start, a quiet breakfast he'd bring, an extra hand with the morning routine.
"Sleep," he said when your eyes finally closed for good. "I'll wake you if Jihyun stirs. I'll be right here."
You slept. When you woke some hours later, the world felt softer, less urgent, more manageable. He was there, just as he'd promised, with a thermos of peppermint tea and a small note folded beside it: I'll take care of breakfast. You smiled, the relief from the night still warm in your chest.
"Thank you," you said, voice thick but grateful.
"Always," he replied, smiling back. "Now go get a few more minutes. I'll handle the rest."
Somehow, despite everything, you'd never felt more looked after.
Writing one-shots is more challenging than typical fanfictions but here’s my second attempt. I hope you enjoy it; it was quite an adventure and ultimately turned out well in my opinion.
