Rustberg village has been abuzz with the sounds of construction, and our local carpenters, timber workers, and designers have been a huge boon to our little walk of life to complete a project we’ve long since awaited to unveil. Among the ridge of the village our residents are able to see the now completed market stalls, each one awaiting for their upcoming sellers; plenty of room upon them for wares of all sorts to be displayed and sold.

As the weather warms and the sun rises over Tol Barad we’re beyond excited to have finished construction and sought out local sellers awaiting for their debut. As the last coats of paint and polish are added, we can confirm that our new market will be on full display on Sunday, April 25th! 

Keep an eye out this week as we follow up with more information, words from our coordinators, and sneak-peeks at what items are going to be sold by our array of talented craftsmen, farmers, chefs, and many more!

For Jari, who has been anything but a ‘jinx’ for Tiernen this year: A little pendant that warms to the touch, the same way Jari has warmed (and thoroughly won over) this void-touched boy. And a song, just for him. The sheet music is on its umpteenth hand-written copy, each clearly struggling with that title, over and over again, before the composer worked up the courage to leave it as-is.

Get ready for a night of neon and glowsticks! Maelstrom Nightclub will be glowing rainbow on Friday, 11/6 with a live DJ playing tunes to match the mood. Bring a friend or make new ones on the dancefloor, or if you’re more of a wallflower, enjoy a mixed drink and watch as the dancefloor flickers with energized dancers.

Maelstrom Nightclub is located in Rustberg Village, Tol Barad, and will be open from 7pm - 9pm WRA server time. We are faction neutral, so both horde and alliance are encouraged to pick up some elixirs of tongue and come down for a good night!

✿ - DECAY - an old memory, from childhood perhaps

The weather was just now starting to turn a bit colder, but even still he wore his usual strappy heels as the Illidari picked his way through the muddy streets of Rustberg. He was getting pretty good at remembering the specific sides, and places, that liked to collect the rainwater over others. It was in this casual wandering that a smell hit him, causing his head to raise with a sharp jingle of bells.

He couldn’t see where the scent originated, but there was no mistaking it. Warm, freshly baked bread... mingled amongst the sound of loud chatter that filtered from the Brewery. So simple a thing... bread... Yet it had the ability to throw him back to a time long gone. A blind child wandering the streets of Silvermoon, near death at one point until the smell of bread bathed across his face. He could no longer remember the words the woman spoke to him, only that they were kind, and that was the first bit of food he’d had in days. A simple kindness of a simple item that struck him so deeply to the core that it lingered in his mind even now.

Blind depths blinked rapidly and he giggled a small swear as a painted nail dragged beneath an eye to clear away eyeliner he just knew was now running down his cheek. Perhaps it was knowing what hardship was and perhaps it was being given kindness when he’d earned none that caused him to see what little good was left in the world. Was it foolish? Probably... But Jinx was a rather stubborn bat after all.
