I write this, while waiting for the airplane to board. I’m nervous and very frightened. I may never see my family again. Today, I had to do the most hardest thing in my life. See, it started off as any other day but, sadly took a gruesome turn into the pits of hell.
Takes a deep breath and dials phone. The phone rings 3 times and, as I think about hanging up he picks up.Â
Me: Heeeeey best fran!!! How is yo day going? ( with fear in my voice )
Him: Not too bad, what’s up with you?
Me: Soooo you’re going to be beyond mad. I mean MAD, MAD.
Me: So, check it. Soooo your house is invisible. Like.... clear, clear.
I frantically run around the house looking for my belongings. I steal two of his luggage trunks and began to throw my things in. Sweat pouring down my face, into my mouth. It was hot and this fool,had no AC. All this running was making me tired and funky. As I started for the door my phone rang. Dammit, I had left it on the table. As, I turn around to get it I hear someone enter the backdoor.
Him: Idk why I even used the door, the fkn walls are see thru ( He mumbles )
As i'm tripping over the luggage I hear him getting closer.
I don’t answer, Im stricken with fear. I just keep moving towards the door in hopes he doesn't hear me. As I close in to my freedom I get tempted by some chocolates I forgot I had by the door. I stare at them, with sweat pouring down my body and his footsteps getting closer. I need to make a decision and fast.
I grab the box of candy, stuff them in my bra and run to my Uber.
So.... here I am on this plane with my chocolates, waiting to start my new life. I already made contact with my connect and I will have a new name by the time I land. I will miss my family but, things are better of this way.
