Jeon Jiyoon to Make First Comeback in a Year with Emotional R&B Single "SOOP" Featuring "?"

Singer Jeon Jiyoon is returning with a new single after a year, since the release of "BAD".

On August 16th, Jeon Jiyoon's official Twitter unveiled a teaser image of a forest with the word "SOOP" written on it, revealing the title of Jeon Jiyoon's upcoming single.

The caption reads : "Feat.",  followed by a question mark, announcing Jeon Jiyoon's upcoming featuring artist on her new song, drawing attention.

Along the picture, a list detailing Jeon Jiyoon's comeback timetable was also attached.

"SOOP" is a deep and emotional R&B number showcasing Jeon Jiyoon's sophisticated and attractive vocals as well as her musicality and versatility as a singer-songwriter.

The title track will show off yet another side of Jeon Jiyoon's wide musical spectrum, with a different appeal from addictive dance track "BAD" which signed the return of performance queen Jeon Jiyoon.

In particular, the anticipation of fans keeps rising as this release will mark Jeon Jiyoon's very first comeback in a year.

Moreover, fans are abuzz with speculation as to the identity of Jeon Jiyoon's featuring artist being 4minute and 2YOON member Heo Gayoon, after candid pictures of a music video set tagged "2YOON" surfaced online.

The first MV teaser for "SOOP" will be released on August 18th and the second MV teaser on the 20th.

Meanwhile, Jeon Jiyoon's new single "SOOP" (Forest) and the MV will be released on August 21st at 6PM KST.

Jeon Jiyoon to Come Back on August 21st with R&B track

Singer Jeon Jiyoon is making a comeback after a year, since the release of single "BAD" last August.

Her agency Artsro Ent revealed, "Our artist Jeon Jiyoon is planning to come back on August 21st. This time around, Jeon Jiyoon plans to showcase a deep and emotional R&B track as opposed to the unconventional performance she showcased last year."

After returning as a solo artist, Jeon  Jiyoon released "BAD" last year, marking her first performance-focused release in 4 years, announcing the revival of the "Performance Queen".
