Legalize It...Sure Why Not
It seems that many states are now opening their eyes to now legalizing marijuana. Mostly for medical purposes, as it has many benefits that prescription pills cannot match.
I say sure, why not...and why not have it made available to the general public like alcohol is. It's a proven fact that alcohol has many more negative effects on people...here are just a few:
Car accidents and deaths caused by drunk driving
Rapes, murders and fights
Death from over consumption
Addiction with deadly withdrawal symptoms
Do we hear about any of these same four items in the news, but instead of alcohol being the cause, it was marijuana ...nope.
No one has ever died because they smoked too much, or got so high that they for no reason wanted to start fighting someone at a bar that they never met before just because he/she looked at them funny.
To keep this brief... if marijuana was legalized they should have the same rules in place that alcohol has, such as only smoking it in a "coffee shop" or in your home, not in public...of course not smoking before work, but only after. Buying it only from a licensed store and having an age restriction of 21 if your intent is for recreational use and not medical.
Legalization would benefit the world and the people from a financial, medical and recreational standpoint.
Marijuana is the lesser evil compared to alcohol. What has been the big deal all these years?
Cheers!
