Dorian’s judgy face in the last GIF is priceless, but John’s face in the one above it makes me ache.  He’s trying so hard to connect and make the kids happy and find good in his synthetic leg, and he’s so disappointed when it doesn’t work.  It probably reinforced not only the loathing of his leg, but his idea of himself as other.
