Walking around looking at his surroundings, Scott couldn’t seem to find a place to set down his things. Looking up he saw Kristen with a cloud of smoke around her head. Walking up to her, he offered a smiled. “Looks like you’ve already gotten comfortable…” Joking with her as he saw her cot from the outside slept in and the sleep in her eyes. He walked a few feet from her and set his stuff down and opened a camping chair. Settling down in it, he looked up at his phone and tried to dial a number. “Goddamn it…” his eyes looked up at her. “No reception…”
Kristen offered him a smile and sat in the entrance of her tent. “I didn’t even try,” she commented, taking a drag of her cigarette. “Didn’t really care to though.” She put out her cigarette next to her. “Need a beer?” she asked, pulling one out of her tent behind her.

Of course like anyone, seeing what they’d be living around for the next few days was a must, so as Bridget made her way along the camp, her view was going up upon & along the trees trying to even catch a glimpse of something climbing along them. As she walked, her focus was still being distracted until she halted in front of the woman before crashing right into her “– I’m already so taken by this place” She offered Kristen a light smile before resting her on her own waist “So….how much of a camper are you? .I’m just full on waiting until someone gets freaked out enough to scream and run outta their tent one of the nights”
Kristen laughed at Bridget’s remark. “I am too, Paget and I plan to people watch for sure--I like the quiet, and I like being prepared, that’s the recipe for a good camping experience.” She had no problem at all with sleeping in a tent in the wild, especially in a place so familiar. “You like the outdoors?”

Demi had come back to the campsite after walking around a little bit . After leaving her bag in her tent, she went off on her own. It was pretty relaxing to be away from her phone

and work for the weekend. She was just walking by when she saw Kristen outside of her tent. Demi smiled, “Hey Kristen.” She noticed the sleepiness on the other girl’s face, looking like she’d just woken up. “Have a nice nap?”
Kristen looked up at Demi with a cigarette in between her lips and nodded, exhaling. “It’s pretty peaceful out here, I enjoyed it,” she chuckled. “All settled in?” she asked. She wondered what other things she could find to do, although she was just fine sitting by the fire with a beer, as long as she had bug spray and some comfy clothes on.

It was nice to know she wasn’t the only one enjoying being disconnected from the world. Paget wasn’t particularly great with electronics but even so it was nice not to worry about a text, the phone ringing, or an email to be answered. Here people had to communicate, face to face, which was probably strange for some. “I didn’t even think of bugs.” Her brown eyes widened before glancing towards the main lodge up the road. “I will be going up there to get some soon enough. The last thing I want is to look like a leopard.” She laughed quietly. “I can’t tell you the last time I went but I think I’m going to like this trip. The weather is perfect, the company is pretty great, and it’s nice to not have to worry about anything for a few days. I might end up with food poisoning if I try to cook over a fire, tho.”
“Oh, you can have some of mine, believe me, I have plenty,” Kristen replied. She smiled when she mentioned cooking over a fire. “Well luckily I’m a pretty good cook, so I’ll look out for you,” she said gesturing to the firepit. “I wouldn’t throw you to the werewolves and vampires either,” she teased. A moment later she got up and glanced at her tent. “I’m gonna grab a beer,” she stepped closer to her tent. “I’d offer one, but it looks like you’re set,” Kristen chuckled.
campground/9-4 afternoon
Kristen noticed Zayn come up next to her and she smiled with a nod. “Of course,” she replied, eyeing the type of cigarettes he had. She was always curious in what kind others liked–she had always liked branching out in that department, but usually went with the same pack when she bought her own. “It is a lot nicer than most tents I’ve ever slept in–and I’ve already had a nap in it so I guess that’s a good sign.” She took a drag, smiling when he mentioned almost tripping. “At least we have medics around if you end up tripping next time,” she said optimistically. Kristen held up her lighter. “Need a light?” she asked, offering the Bic in her hand.
“Already napping?” Zayn arched an eyebrow, clearly impressed with it. Honestly considering that he had trouble sleeping while being home at the condos or at his parents home, he probably would be even worse off here, where he wasn’t comfortable at all considering vicious beasts and cold ground. “I have a lighter, thanks.” He said with a grin before showing off his own, lighting his cigarette up and taking a deep drag to calm his nerves. “You good at this then? The camping thing. I miss my phone to be honest.”
Kristen shrugged. “When you’ve got the right gear.” She smiled as she took another drag of her cigarette. “I like being disconnected for a while,” she admitted when she exhaled. “Usually when I go out camping I bring a shit ton of beer and weed and I’m set. That’s how I sleep,” she chuckled. She wasn’t sure if she should have brought that up, but she didn’t necessarily care either. Zayn has that stoner sense about him, but she could be wrong. If she recalled correctly the joint was the only thing that had helped her sleep earlier, being deprived of sleep for a couple days. When she got the chance to be disconnected and in a private, safe area, she had no problem celebrating.

Kristen lifted her chin in Matthew’s direction, acknowledging his wave. She gave him a small smile as she rested a cigarette between her lips and lit it. She furrowed her eyebrows. “Huh?” she asked, not quite understanding. “Oh,” she chuckled, exhaling the smoke. “You have no idea.” She had spent a lot of time in Washington while filming Twilight. She missed the weather and how green it was. She didn’t think she would ever have a reason to come back here, but here she was.
Light laughter fell from his lips at the woman’s confusion. Traveling left a few people frazzled, so he understood. “I can only imagine.” Matthew’s gaze traveled the trees around them. “At least it’s a beautiful place to remember.” And that was an understatement; the scenery was very green and lively. “You could have flashbacks of inner city garbage and other gross things. I will say that I don’t know if I’m looking forward to the animal noises at night, though. I imagine they’re abundant… though, we could all just join in.”
Kristen laughed. “You know what? I think I’ll join you, depending on how many drinks and things are in my system.” She liked talking to Matt, she had never interacted with him before, and so far she enjoyed his conversation. She could tell they both had a different way of thinking, and she liked how that felt. “It’s pretty peaceful right now, though, it’s nice to just sit and listen.
campground/9-4 afternoon
Kristen took a drag of her cigarette and laughed at Paget’s comment. “God, I hope not,” she replied. She had a feeling she would be hearing that the whole weekend. She didn’t mind, though, it’s not like she was trying to push Twilight our of her filmography. “But you never know what can happen,” she said suggestively, with a smile. “Ready to people watch?” she asked Paget, remembering their amusing conversation they had about the weekend ahead.
It was nice that Kristen wasn’t completely against the series since people would be teasing her. The last thing anyone needed to do was upset Kristen. The girl seemed pretty damn laid back and awesome to Paget which was rare in their line of work. “I mean you are one of the most powerful so I’ll just expect you to protect me.” She joked before sitting down on a log around the unlit campfire. “I’ve been ready to people watch since I got here!” She lifted her thermos. “I even made sure I had wine to help me enjoy.” Laughing she popped the top and took a drink. “What about you? Are you a big camper?”
“That’s true, I am a pretty badass vampire,” she replied smiling. Kristen sat next to Paget as she finished her cigarette. “I do enjoy being disconnected, actually, and I don’t mind having to do my business in the woods--but I do hate bugs, so I made sure to bring a huge as can of bug repellent.” She put out her Marlboro on the log and rolled the butt around between two fingers, not wanting to litter. “Do you like camping?”
campground/9-4 afternoon
Eyes opened and the ceiling of a tent hung above her. Kristen’s eyes shifted around, taking in each detail of what was around her. She hadn’t even realized she had fallen asleep on the cot inside her tent. Once she had set her things down she lied down and dozed off. “Shit,” she muttered under her breath, almost surprised. She sat up and ran her hands through her hair, soon taking her backpack and unzipping it. She grabbed a pack of cigarettes, along with a lighter, and stepped outside.
Zayn was pleased to see that he wasn’t the only one who might end up setting fire to the woods with a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, and he gave Kristen a nod as he walked up to her. “Mind if I join you?” He asked, nodding to the cigarettes and to his own pack of them. “Is your tent comfortable? More luxury than the condos?” He asked with a little grin, biting his lip as he had finished speaking. “I kind of almost tripped as I was getting out of mine to be honest.”
Kristen noticed Zayn come up next to her and she smiled with a nod. “Of course,” she replied, eyeing the type of cigarettes he had. Paget Brewster couldn’t remember the last time she went camping. While most would be freaking out over the loss of electronics for the weekend, she was more than happy to be disconnected. After a quick shower in the surprisingly clean public bathrooms, the actress dropped her things in her tent and went for a walk. A smile pulled across her face when she saw Kristen loitering outside her tent. “Hey, Bella!” She teased with a smile and a wave. “Should we expect to see wolves and vampires fighting over you this weekend?”
Kristen took a drag of her cigarette and laughed at Paget’s comment. “God, I hope not,” she replied. She had a feeling she would be hearing that the whole weekend. Matthew had spent majority of their short lived plane ride trying to talk the stewardess into letting him pocket some of the airplane bottles of vodka with a smile on his face. It was five o’clock somewhere, right? That was the story he was going to stick to, at least. Standing outside of his tent with a light cardigan on, he strapped a fanny pack to his waist and stretched out. “Hey.” A hand shot up to wave in Kristen’s direction. “Having any flashbacks yet?”
Kristen lifted her chin in Matthew’s direction, acknowledging his wave. She gave him a small smile as she rested a cigarette between her lips and lit it. I wake up to Cole sitting right next to me staring at me, and then we just kind of look at each other for a moment and then she puts her paw on my arm and nudges me to get up. What do you neeeed?
She’s just lettin’ you know she’s there! And that she loves you oh so much. That’s what I tell myself when Hatchi touches me when I’m walking up. Or they ought to go out. Who can be sure though?
I know, I wish I could read her mind or communicate with her somehow. That would be awesome. But then I probably wouldn’t care to be around humans, so it’s probably for the best.
If your leadership includes more of these days, I won’t try and overthrow you. Also hi, I’m Kristen.
So, if I ever for some reason decree something that you don’t approve of, will I have to worry about you as a poosible usurper?
Maybe...but I don’t want that responsibility so you can have it.
I can never fall asleep easily unless I’m either stoned or drunk. Even if I’m super tired. I’m the same way though, if my body is begging for it that’s what works.
Funny, i’m the complete opposite with that. Though when i need or wana sleep most of the time my body’s like “No”, yet when it’s times i have to work or can’t sleep my body’s like “Oh let’s find somewhere to sleep” .
I don’t get how that happens. Why can’t we just get our shit together and fall asleep when we need to? This doesn’t make sense.
Oh my god.
I wouldn’t want to be a monkey in that barrel.
Nor would I like to be all the toys sitting there watching.
I’m just ready to sit back and watch everyone struggle to live in the wild for a weekend.
That is going to be the best part!
That’s what I’m looking forward to the most. That, and getting out of the city.
