“We have, as human beings, a storytelling problem. We’re a bit too quick to come up with explanations for things we don’t really have an explanation for.”

Last full moon of the decade is this week. What magic are you creating?
social media can be harmful guys
How could you NOT compare and contrast while browing the social platforms? We see the wonderful highlight reel on Instagram but very solemnly do we see the mental breakdowns or the self-doubt bouts before posting the pictures wondering if someone else will do it better. We see people with hundreds of thousands of followers and likes & it makes us wonder why we don't have those same stats right next to our names. We forget about our own unique contributions. Even if we understand there's algorithms and more time invested that are big factors, social media is literally showing the world somebody's "social score". And it's ruining lives. It's making wonderful, beautiful, kind, soft souls wonder what their purpose is rather than going to fulfill their ambitions and goals in the world in productive, healthy ways. People are kind online and uplifting, social media is a wonderful way to form a sense of community. But what about those who can't even enter the community for lack of understanding how social media data works? Or because they don't know the tricks of how the website's culture works as well as others. They're feeling left out. How about those who wonder if they really had a good time at the same event if their photo had less likes or shares? These things matter & insecurity from it manifests subconsciously and shows it's ugly face in our actions.
Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving this year.🍁🦃🥧 • • I feel very thankful for every new opportunity I've both been given & created for myself this year. 🌻 I have met some wonderful people and lifelong friends & I've become closer to my family.🧡 • • Time to ring in the Christmas season!🎅🎄 (at Salt Lake City, Utah) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5dhddoAbbz/?igshid=1bprfhnylcd33
Lots of ace people find romantic or queerplatonic relationships incredibly fulfilling, but that doesn’t mean you need a partner to be happy. In fact, many people are perfectly content without a partner, and that’s completely valid!
[ID: A graphic with pink and purple images and text. The top has a box that says “A partner is not a requirement.” Below, there are stick figure images of various couples and families, with a single person highlighted in the middle. End ID.]
Can we bring back Nocturnal Wonderland & the summer?☀️🌻🦉🎉
*inserts some cliche caption like "keep your eyes on the prize"*👁🔮
