Architect and #bauhausmovement icon #herbertbayer was commissioned to design the buildings here in the early 1950’s by Aspen Institute founder #walterpaepcke. Set on 40 acres of farmland just 1.5 miles from downtown Aspen, Aspen Meadows Resort offers classic mid-century architecture, walking paths along the Roaring Fork River, public art installations, and many quiet corners for reflection. It’s an ideal respite for the many business and world leaders who have come to the Institute and musicians who have attended the music festival throughout history to collaborate and ideate amidst the tranquil setting of Aspen.
