it’s been a really long time since i’ve posted on here, but i’ve been doing so much reflecting. and i’ve really learned to appreciate my past and being able to speak about it with eli, because he can do the same and often does do the same with me.

i got to spend dinner with his family, like a lot of weekends, yesterday. it makes me feel really loved and welcomed into his life because it’s not just him who loves me and is building a relationship with, his family is building it with me too. i have a great relationship with hi sister, his brother and sister in-law, and his parents. my mom always told me to remember that when i get married i’m not only marry the guy, but i’m marrying his family. i remember i’m my last relationship i never really felt entirely comfortable around the family, mostly because i never was around them but there were just things in that relationship that felt off. but when i’m with eli and his family i never feel that way. i never feel uncomfortable. i could go to his house with only his parents home and feel comfortable there. and the nice thing is he feels that same way about my family too.
