And while a hundred civilizations have prospered (sometimes for centuries) without computers or windmills or even the wheel, none have survived even a few generations without art.
David Bayles, Art & Fear: Observations on the Perils (and Rewards) of Artmaking
I’m singing in this awesome concert next week along with some peeps from Fun Home, Hamilton, and more. It’s a benefit to raise money for Lezcab, a theatre company that features queer women and allies. Are you going to be in the NYC area? Get tickets by clicking on the poster above.
Spent the day in Lancaster, PA and picked up this amazing deck of vintage Michael Jackson trading cards. The middle left box shows the wrapper, the middle right are the actual cards minus the sweet stickers that came with them, and the top and bottom are the delicious piece of gum that was apparently included in every pack, complete with Michael Jackson branding. A LITERAL time capsule from 1984.

City of Dreams - Episode 2 Featuring Laura Osnes and Jon Fletcher
After to lying to all their friends, the trio scrambles to write the "next best cabaret song." And special guest Laura Osnes shows up to sing it! Don't miss the British, the Cinnabon, the yoga.
3 years ago, my friends and I were working on a musical web series called City of Dreams. Aside from being quirky and hilarious, it was chock full of fun cameos and great performances. Today, we are releasing the soundtrack as a FREE download to anyone who signs our mailing list. It features performances by Laura Osnes, Rachel Potter, Marla Mindelle, Kelvin Moon Loh, Andrew Kober, and plenty more. Aside from the obvious perk of free music, you’ll be able to keep up to date with our new material and/or shows. How very cool. You can join the party by clicking the link above :)
Day 271 - Debuting Our Musical at Rockwell in LA I’m so excited that Justin Anthony Long, Jonathan Lee, Joanna and I will be debuting songs from our musical “Welcome to Shoofly” at Rockwell this upcoming Monday, October 5th at 8pm…featuring these amazing ladies!!! LA friends, I would love your support on this. #marlamindelle #ashleybrown #kelleydorney #ericalustig #rockwell #project365 #photooftheday #rockwelltableandstage
happy bi visibility day everyone! reminder that:
bisexuality is not transphobia
nonbinary people can be bisexual
bisexuals in a “hetero” relationship are not straight
bisexuals in a same-sex relationship are not gay
even if you have only been in relationships with people of one particular gender, you are still bisexual if that’s how you identify
there is nothing wrong with being bisexual, and I am proud of you
This reblog is a day late, but this post is still something I feel the need to share. A couple of years ago, I blindly and recklessly participated in a video that suggested that I believed anything to the contrary. I thought I was being funny and snarky, like a Best Week Ever commentator, but instead, I came off like an ignorant ass. A QUEER ignorant ass, which is somehow worse considering the topic. And I’ve been insanely embarrassed of it ever since. So...a simple note to my bi friends: I'm sorry for contributing to the problem, and I love, respect, and support you. Please know that. Now be visible and go get it!
Definitely like and share this masterpiece. We snuck into Daddy Warbucks mansion (aka Wilson Hall at Monmouth U where they filmed Annie) and had the time of our lives.
