christian borle makes me excruciatingly happy.
Nikki: Yeah, we can’t see what we’re supposed to say.
That time Christian couldn’t read the rule about not gathering in front of the teleprompter because people had gathered in front of the teleprompter.

Oh! That’s a lot of alliteration. Occupational hazard…
Sorry I laughed
your fave is problematic: Christian Borle
makes himself say one extra nice thing to everyone he meets
actively talks to the camera crew while he is in an interview
works really well with kids and puppies
gives really good hugs
one time gave his old Play Station away to one of my family friends i’m not kidding
while filming the Hard To Be The Bard music video asked if everyone was ready before rolling and was super nice to us extras and to the crew
created Rotten Acts with Heidi Blickenstaff, a thing where people are encouraged to go out and do nice things for other people and then tweet about it
while filming Smash, apologized to the extras when he had to film another take
let himself lose Billy Eichner’s street games so that his co-star Debra Messing and a random girl on the street could win
his arms have their own twitter (which he’s not affiliated with of course but it’s still funny as hell)
is a giant bookworm
goes to Midtown Comics every Wednesday for the new comic book arrivals
gave a standing ovation to Susan Blackwell for just existing
owns like 5 million Star Wars t-shirts (goals tbh)
owns illegal candles
is super articulate and knows his way with words
has extensive knowledge about the history of codpieces
is really good at imitating dogs and chickens
was the singing eBay guy
named his Macy’s Santa Land Elf “Swifty”
will pause Star Wars non-stop when watching the movies and give comments and fun facts about the movies
takes selfies in his Star Wars helmets
always has Star Wars posters in his dressing room
actually he weaseled his way into getting the biggest dressing room at the St. James and put a bar in there and everything
quotes Yoda when giving uplifting advice to graduating high school students
is overall just a genuinely sweet, kind-hearted, hilarious, wonderful nerd and there’s still so much more great stuff about him that’s not included in this post but yeah we must appreciate him all day every day for the rest of our lives thanks for reading
Greg and Christian are bromance goals.
When you have writers block
Never Forget.
“I’m in love! So this song’s about him, but he can’t be here right now because he’s a dog. So I’m singing about him and I’m gonna hug you.”
Remember when this happened.
All right, get in here.
On a scale of Christian Borle to Lin-Manuel Miranda, how much research did you do for your character?
what do you mean by 'head to toe' comment on the video?
It’s a phrase you hear pretty often when referring to actors who do both theatre and film/TV. Theatre is a head to toe art form; you’re going to see the entire performer from the top of their head to their toes. When you watch a TV show or a movie most of the time you’re looking at them from the waist up. And a lot of times (but certainly not always) when TV/Movie actors decide to do a play you can tell they’re not used to people being able to see their legs. They get fidgety or do weird things that are usually hidden because their legs aren’t in the shot.
The best way to describe it I think is this conversation about Christian Borle when he was offered the pilot of Smash:
Producer on PATSC: He belongs on stage, he’s a head to toe actor, not a waist up actor.
