La Fleur de la France

This blog is dedicated to Joan of Arc and her beautiful home country, France. Joan was born in the small town of Domremy, in 1412. When she was about 13 she first heard the voices of St. Michael, St. Catherine and St. Margaret, urging her to lead the armies of France against the English. She succeeded, and French dauphin Charles VII was crowned king in Reims. Following the coronation, Joan was captured by the English and burned as a heretic in a corrupt trial. She died May 30,1431 in Rouen. 25 years later, the trial was nullified, and much later, in 1920, she was canonized in the Roman Catholic church as the patron saint of France and soldiers.

All of us need prayer, so lets pray one for another. It doesn’t matter if you know names or where you live, what is your age or your problems, just pray for your brother and sister in Christ, because God is listening and it makes difference.

God absolutely loves you, right now, even your most downward spiral of doubt and frustration. Tell him how you feel. He will love you through that. He won’t bite your head off. And when you feel guilt, simply take your eyes off yourself and look to the cross. It was there he took on even the guilt you would feel of feeling far away.
