i’m sugar, currently in my mid-thirties & i’ve been roleplaying in group and independent contexts for about fifteen years give or take, but before that i wrote fanfiction and short stories for basically my entire life. i’m a mom & wife, and i work retail part-time - when i’m not tending to my adult responsibilities, you can find me reading, binge watching comfort shows, trying new cozy hobbies (coloring, cooking, painting, crafting), listening to music, and trying to write.

my roleplaying style.
i’m not around as much anymore now that i’m working and i’m still adjusting to that major life change, i am also incredibly forgetful/have a lot going on and i have adhd - this basically means, i get distracted easily and i hyperfixate on things. if i am missing replies, do not hesitate to ping me or dm me, because chances are it’s just slipped my mind, it’s never personal i just forget. i love to do shorter one para threads, because i love fast moving plots, but i’m always open to writing longer threads too, just give me some grace because again - i can be very scattered at times. i play a wide range of muses with varying personality types, interests, etc - so if you ever want to plot with me, and think our muses would vibe, feel free to hit me up as long as communication is there i’m pretty okay with most plots.

it’s always been easy for jason to see his purpose in life. born into a family of solid moral standing and a good reputation, from a young age faith and morality was impressed upon jason as the ultimate standard. he grew up going to church every sunday, and attending other church events and his faith became an integral part of himself as he grew into adolescence. it was also clear from the time he was young that there was an extreme amount of expectation that he would grow into someone worthy of the carver name. his parents ran their home with strict rules of morality and personal conduct and jason was expected to fall in line and comply, while exceeding in his public life, academics, athletics, faith and all other aspects of his life. anything less than perfect simply wasn’t good enough.
for most of his life, jason never questioned this path, playing his role as the perfect son, student and boyfriend well. school came easily to him, as did athletics, and even interpersonal relationships. he was a natural born leader and public speaker, his charisma was commanding and he has always been the person his friends look up to and follow. it wasn’t until his mother fell ill that he had his first crisis of faith. he’d followed all the rules, he’d been unwavering in his faith his entire life, and now that his mother was fading towards a certain death, it was clear that being good all the time wasn’t a cure-all for bad things happening in his life.
when the mall fire in the summer of ‘85 occurred, that was a second time he questioned his place in the world and his faith. with tragedy seeming to fall all around him, he did his best to cling to his faith and values, letting them guide him towards absolution and towards enlightenment, though his internal struggle since then has been almost constant. with his mother still fighting a terminal illness, a father whose value has always been placed on appearance and morality rather than emotion and love, and the world around him seemingly falling apart, jason has clung to his faith as a way to make sense of the world and himself, while simultaneously feeling that if there really is a god out there, he wouldn’t allow these things to happen. a storm has been brewing in jason for quite some time, and it has made him irritable, moody, withdrawn, and abrasive, as he feels the imbalance, anger, and confusion all around him beginning to seep into his thoughts.
