To be honest Joanna hadn't expected to come back to Stars Hollow this early, she'd quite enjoyed living in New York after all but even New York wasn't better than Stars Hollow to her. She loved the small town with all of her heart even though everyone was constantly gossipping and anyone could hardly keep a secret here.
Her mood wasn't the best when she woke up this morning only to notice that it was the second rainy day in a row. She put on some casual clothes before she stepped out of her aunt's house with her pink umbrella in hand walking to her favorite diner. Leaving the wet umbrella outside as she arrived the brunette stepped inside, sitting down on the closest chair before grabbing the menu and trying to figure out what to order for breakfast today. "Can you believe it's been raining for two days straight now? I really miss the sun." She said to the person sitting next to her table.
“-so after taking a look, it seems like your battery died but it really shouldn’t be too hard to fix. I can probably have it done by tomorrow. i’ll even change the oil for you so she’ll be driving even b e t t e r than before!
"My aunt's going to be very pleased to hear that, so thank you but we'd need the car by tonight so do you think you'd be able to fix it a little earlier? Pretty please?"
her hands are full of colorful decorations, paper, glitter glue, and other crafty items. it’s the last week of her student teaching, and she’s trying to come up with activities to do with them. it was her first year with the kindergarteners, and she’s a year away from graduating. the sky is dark and it was supposed to rain, so she’s in a hurry to get back to her apartment. with her arms and hands full of bags, she struggles once she reaches the crosswalk, eyes wide as she looks around for someone to push the button for her. she sighs, looking up at the sky. someone finally comes up behind her and pushes the button, and she offers a meek smile, “ i’m glad someone showed up, i’d never have been able to push that with no free limbs. ”
"Yeah, I kinda noticed that." She said and let out a laugh. "I'm always here to help," the girl added with a genuine smile, looking at the stuff the other was carrying. "What are you up to? If you don't mind me asking, of course."
Evangeline was washing the car while she listened to the person continue on who was obviously flirting with her. She rolled her eyes, resisting the urge to rest a hand on her stomach as she stood up straight to adjust her shorts. Even if she wasn’t showing yet, it had become a nervous habit for her. “Look..” she finally sighed as she went back to washing the hood of the car. “I’m dating someone, and I’m not really interested in- whatever this is..”
Joanna watched the scene from afar for a while, waiting for the guy to back off but unsurprisingly saw that he wasn't going to leave any time soon. Even though the girl was pretty tiny, she was feisty enough to work up the courage and walk over to the guy, "hey! Are you deaf? The girl kindly told you to fuck off so back away or you're going to regret it." Of course he wouldn't walk away just because she told him to but as a few other people around them now started to draw attention to the scene, he muttered something to himself before walking away. Pleased with herself, Joanna turned around to the other, a small smile on her lips. "Are you okay?"
“i need another drink or twelve, so feel free to sit down and join me – my treat.” the brunette offered to the person standing next to her, knocking back the rest of the bourbon, sending a grateful smile to the bartender as she refiled her drink.
"I'm totally in." The girl said, letting out a sigh as she sat down next to her. "Nice choice," she commented with a smirk as she glanced at the bourbon.
“I need the bouquets to be red roses not the white ones.” the small brunette said not paying any sort of attention to where she was going.”I know they are hard to find but I have faith that you are a super awesome florist and can get it done and–”she was interrupted when she collided with the stranger in front of her spilling her coffee all over the other person. “Uhh I’m going to have to call you back.” hanging up the phone she looked at the person in front of her. “I am so sorry! I’m a total klutz.”
Joanna was walking down the street in peace as suddenly someone bumped into her, spilling all of her coffee on her causing Joanna to drop her glance and look at her tee as well as her hair which were both ruined now. The coffee kept dripping from her hair as a sigh left her lips. "Just watch where you're going next time, please." She said, paying more attention to the damage the coffee had done than to who'd actually ran into her.
sitting down on the park bench, pippa brushed her blonde locks behind her ear eyes glued on the two tiny brunette boys running around the park, her boys sutter and ronald. her hand fell on her five month pregnant belly as she gently moved her fingers on her stomach. her mind thought about the new arrival as it normally did these days nerves took over as she thought more about it. she didn’t even know the gender yet due to having to postpone the appointment. did that make her a bad mother? her thoughts were interrupted when she felt someone take a seat beside her.
The brunette wasn't really paying attention as she walked around the park while she was texting one of her best friends, searching for a park bench to sit down since it became quite difficult to text and walk. She'd noticed that someone else was sitting on the bench as well but it took her a moment to really realize the presence of the other. Finally glancing up from her phone she smiled at the woman, her glance dropping to her belly before she looked at her face again. "Hey." She greeted her politely, feeling slightly uncomfortable sitting next to a pregnant woman but she tried her best not to show it.
she was all doe eyes and red lips as she walked inside the grocery store, her craving for ben & jerry’s ice cream bringing her here in the first place. she’d been in star hollow for close to two months now, and despite being here for a while, she was still foreign to where some of the things were located– inside super markers or outside on main street. after a few minutes of searching, she finally asked for help from one of the cashiers, who pointed her in the right direction. the petite blonde couldn’t help but smile in triumphs when she found what she was searching for. ‘thank god,’ she whispers under breath, sliding the freezer door and grabbing a pint of the famous ‘half baked’ ice cream. she was just about to turn around and head up to the cash register to pay, but stumbled lightly when she noticed someone waiting for their turn to get their hands on the brand as well. ‘shit, sorry,’ she smiled lightly, moving to the side so they can get at it. ‘so which one are you? pregnant, on your period or just craving the hell out of this because it’s so delicious?’ she joked.
When she woke up this morning a list of things her aunt wanted her to pick up from the grocery store had already been waiting on the kitchen table so she decided to go there first and later on pick up some breakfast for herself at her favorite coffee shop. As she arrived at the grocery store she grabbed the items her aunt wanted, the last thing on the list was of course some ben & jerry's, they both loved to eat the ice cream while binge watching their favorite tv shows. She'd been patiently waiting for the girl to grab her ice cream and leave, a warm smile forming on her lips as she turned around but that smile faded hardly noticeable at the word 'pregnant'. It just was a hard topic for her. "It's fine." She assured her before answering her question, "neither of the things you've listed actually. Ben & Jerry's is always included whenever my aunt and I want to binge watch tv shows."
“i really thought i was the most needy person in stars hollow, but then this girl in my kinder ballet class sneezed, and then got annoyed that no one said anything and was like uh, bless me. so it’s definitely her, i’ve lost my crown.”
“look, i told you – my rates go up to $400 starting from next week! if you have a problem with that you should…….” penny whipped around only to be greeted by a different person that she was expecting. “oh sorry, i thought you were somebody else.” she laughed nervously.
she’s covered in grease and probably even smells like it, but she’s been working at a garage for too long now. she’s used to the smell and the feeling of the grime, and often forgets that it tends to bother some people; especially in public places. she can tell when someone’s giving a judging look, or, at least, she think she can. standing in line at wendys she can’t help but think that someone is staring at her. “dude.” she mumbles, turning to the person behind her, assuming that they were the one staring. “sue me for wanting to get food after work, but staring, quite honestly, is fuckin’ creepy, and it isn’t going to change the fact that i smell like i’ve bathed in oil. which, i might as well have.”
"Calm down, sweetheart I wasn't staring at you it was the dude behind me and I doubt he was staring because of your smell. I'd say he's staring because he thinks you're hot. The smell of grease on a pretty girl like you turns boys on." She said with a grin spread across her face.
‘what’s that, lila?’ she cooed, holding the six months old in her arms as she played with one of the decorations the store had hanging up from the ceiling. due to the fact that she worked at the local daycare, it was only natural that some of the parents would ask if harlow was available to babysit on the weekends, knowing fully well how capable she was with taking care of children of all ages. a lot of people had told the brunette throughout her life how gifted she was when it came to kids, and after leaving italy and coming to the states to work in star hollow, she finally understood what they meant. ‘do you think we’ll be good with these books for daycare on monday?’ she talked to the baby, knowing fully well she wouldn’t get a reply; although, that didn’t stop her from smiling down at the small bundle in her arms. the bookstore was mostly empty other than the usual crowd sitting at the table in the backroom. so she though it was an excellent opportunity to get some books for the kids at work. walking past the isle of kid books and around the corner, she halted her steps when she almost bumped into the person coming the opposite direction. ‘sorry!’ she looked up sheepishly at the person she almost ran into, lila letting out a laugh from her reaction. tightening her free hand on the basket filled with books, she cocked her head to the side and met their gaze . ‘you’re lucky i didn’t run into you and dropped this, i doubt a few broken toes was on your agenda for today.’
Joanna was on her way to the counter, only paying attention to her phone as she almost bumped into the brunette, looking up at her with a small smile. "It's fine, I wasn't paying attention either." She quickly assured her, her glance falling down to the basket filled with books. "Yeah, broken toes are not really on my agenda, thanks." She laughed. "I've had a broken ankle last year, I'd prefer to go at least a year without any other injuries."
Astoria was precariously balancing two large boxes of hospital files in one arm, a dogs leash that was hooked up to her very bouncy puppy was wrapped round one wrist as she searched her bag for her keys. It was clearly a disaster waiting to happen and the second a cat strolled in front of little Dexter, the dog had gone mad and shot forward, causing her to drop the boxes with a loud thump. “Fuck.” The woman cursed loudly before calling out after the yapping pup, “Grab that dog! Stop, Dex!”
Joanna was on her way back to her aunt after running some errands, her eyes roaming around as she heard a woman calling after her dog and soon after, saw a cat and a dog rushing towards her. Wanting to help the woman she quickly reached out and grabbed the dogs leash before he could pass her, "Gotcha." The girl muttered to herself, before walking towards the other with her dog. "It seems like there's always a cat they could chase after in the worst situations, huh? It's almost as if the cats are waiting for situations like these." She said as she held out the leash for her to grab, her lips curved into a warm smile.
hi i'm j, from the gmt timezone & a huuge gilmore girls fan so i'm v excited to join this cute rp !! i mean the plot is uhmazing ?? under the read more you'll find a lil something about this cutie, hmu if you want to plot
trigger warnings: mention of death
[ vanessa hudgens, female , she/her ] — did you see joanna cruz near the gazebo last night ? they’re that twenty-five year old that i’ve heard is a blogger/dancer. i’ve definitely heard them called friendly , which contradicts how they’re also called stubborn. mostly i hear she recently found out that she can’t have any more children, but i think we all know better than to believe that !
- her full name is joanna faith cruz but everyone either calls her jo or jojo for short (she introduces herself as jojo)
- her parents died in a car crash when she was 3 years old, which is why her aunt raised her
- she grew up in stars hollow but moved to new york to study dance at the nyu, her aunt stayed in stars hollow and she visited her every weekend
- after she started studying at the nyu she created her own blog, posting dancing videos + ootd’s because people told her that they loved her style
- she was on the show ‘so you think you can dance’ last year but she got injured before the semi-final while rehearsing so she dropped out
- joanna can be a little sarcastic & bitchy sometimes but she’s usually in a good mood 24/7 & she tries her best to always be friendly
- buut she can also be very stubborn like to a level where it gets really annoying if she thinks she’s in the right then there’s a good chance she’s not going to change her mind on it
- she just came back to stars hollow & hasn’t told anyone yet that she’s going to stay for a while, she officially is just back for a short time
- she has a baby with bentley and she’d left it at his door (still need to plot further details with the lovely mun)
- she’s not really that much into relationships, she prefers hook-ups but if the right one comes along she wouldn’t be adverse to conisider a relationship
that’s all i have for now probably, will add something later or write a bio for her but if you want to plot, i’m always down
