whispers i got that anime genetics thing goin on

using the marker tool for sketches is nice because i don’t have to actually commit to colors just yet (although, lev’s dad and brother have a burn orange sort of hair color. that’s important)

anyway so i was tryna think of lev’s childhood and this kinda rammed into me:

i’ve already been thinking for a while about them having an older bro n sis, but now bro is oldest, sis is middlest. their mother and brother just kinda have like. naturally severe expressions, but they’re usually pretty chill (actually lev has that face too). lev was closest to their dad, who was also a magic-user and taught them a lot before he ended up separating from the family. lev eventually leaves on a journey to look for him (they’re only assuming he’s even still alive) and eventually ends up in vesuvia (and we know the rest from there)

Finally decided to finish this. I've never been good with lighting, but I found an easy way to do it that I think I'll be practicing from now on.

I haven't actually watched HanaKimi yet, but I've seen gifs of Julie and thought that her actress was super cute!!

So I drew a Julie based on this frame and from the Julie in the manga

This is my "default" character

Whenever I'm trying something new, or want to draw but don't know what to draw, I end up drawing her. I think I tried to give her a name and story a while back, but I don't know what happened to them.
