oliver’s thoughts on avalance or just Ava in general?

Phu... that's a difficult question. I don't think he's ever met her but I've only seen Arrow up to 6.01, so maybe he did, but let's say he hasn't it would mean all he knows about her is what Sara told him. So it depends on how honest she is with him. Which depends on how she wants him to feel about Ava since Oliver's opinion is very important to her.

But I think if he was under the impression Ava made Sara happy he'd be happy for her and grateful for Ava being someone in Sara's life that brought her happiness, stability and a place to let her guard down. That Sara has someone who loves her. This is my hopefully objective take on the question.

Now on to a more biased one ;)

I think if Oliver had met Ava and witnessed the way she talked to and treated Sara at times he would not like her, he'd stay out of it (mostly) it was Sara's choice, but he wouldn't necessarily support or be on board with the relationship. Kinda like the whole Nyssa thing. He'd have a very strong opinion but wouldn't share it with Sara unless she asked.

I also feel that if Sara knew how Felicity talked to and treated Oliver at times she'd be a lot less fond of her.

Oliver and Sara are very protective of each other and they don't appreciate the other getting disrespected or put down.

And yeah, Ava would hate Oliver and therefore not make a great first impression. Her reaction to his death said it all; completely tasteless, cruel and disgusting.

Huh, just realized Oliver was the only one of Sara's partners who wasn't extremely possessive of her.

I think Felicity and Ava would get along to a point. I think if Ava let Felicity know her opinion of Oliver and potentially say something crass about Sara or Sara and Oliver that Felicity would put her in her place. Felicity has many faults but she adores Sara and I don't think she'd stand for that. And since she has no control over her mouth she'd tell Ava exactly what she thought of her comments. But I might be wrong, that's just the impression I have and I try to be fair to Felicity, even though I really can't stand her character from Season 3 onwards.

Sometimes I remember the fact that green arrow and the canaries is a thing or well was gonna be a thing. All I can think about is that Sara would have to go fix all their mistakes in the timeline

Honestly, I am so glad that this wasn't a thing. I can't recall, was it the future versions of E-2 Laurel and Dinah or the present ones with Mia? Was Nora Allen a part as well, cause if so... Sara would've had her hands full. But then again, I'm of the firm stance that Sara died in Legends and the Alien-Clone-Hybrid parading around like her is not Sara.

The real Sara is dead. Hanging with Laurel and Oliver. And Tommy, cause there is no way Oliver would've brought Tommy back to life but let Laurel die, it would've either been both or neither.

Just out of curiosity have you thought of how an elseworlds crossover would look with canarrow?

I always thought they missed out on doing a Sara and Kara swap.

Even just the Barry and Oliver swap with canarrow sounds cool as hell

I have not yet seen the Elseworlds crossover. Sara wasn't in it so I didn't really care... I mostly watched the crossovers in hopes to get some Oliver/Sara interactions because Stephen and Caity work so great together.

But... huge but ;) there's a chance I might consider doing one once I reach Elseworlds, currently trying to get through Arrow Season 6.

Other but, I saw scenes of Elseworlds mostly the "Oliver once slept with his girlfriend's sister" one which pissed me off because Oliver didn't defend himself which may or may not have inspired my muse to work out different scenarios of how that one could've gone had Oliver actually stood up for himself. None of which are at a point that they could actually stand as a story or be published yet, but they might see the light of day at some point.

PS: The Oliver-Barry swap with Canarrow sounds very dangerous for Barry ;) Sara would not be amused. Okay, so I just watched Elseworlds and boy oh boy... yeah, there's a lot of potential to rewrite it. Making Sara front and center when it comes to the book. As she should've been.

She wielded the Spear of Destiny without it being able to manipulate her.

She'll end up the Paragon of Destiny.

She should've had Clark's role and been the one to fix things.

I'll need to let it sink in and mull it over... I might just actually do a fix-it-rewrite... if the muse complies. So, thank you so much for the ask. It was very inspiring.

Miss "only person who can wield the Spear of Destiny, because it needs you, Sara" who then becomes the Paragon of Destiny is not in the freaking crossover where reality and everyone's destiny is changed?

I've been watching the Season 2 flashback scenes and was once again reminded just how much Sara had shaped who Oliver ended up being.

He was so much more naive than she had been.

She'd taught him that sometimes killing someone was the only solution.

Those flashbacks showed us just what a brilliant mind Sara had and a talent to manipulate people.

I love the fact that Sara had been a great strategist and very pragmatic even before she was forced to join the League.

Like Oliver had said, she hadn't been much of a fighter, she'd used her mind to survive. She was calculating, analyzing the situation before deciding the best course of action to survive.

Season two showed us just how perfectly Oliver and Sara complement each other. I really wished we'd gotten more of them together.

So decided to start Arrow Season 6 again, cause of research but man is it difficult to watch.

Only got through episode 1 so far and the only good things in it were Raisa, love her, missed her so much, Oliver & William's interactions, and Oliver & Quentin's scenes. The rest was garbage. Like seriously.

How was an entire island rigged with explosives, which went off and only 1 person died and 2 were injured and everyone, like seriously every fucking person on that island, survived.

That is like the worst backpedal in a TV show I've ever seen.

Season 5 ended on a peak, Season 6 fell harder and steeper than Oliver did when Ra's pushed him off the edge.

It doesn't help that I never warmed up or started to care about NTA at all. They're rather bland and I find their acting not very convincing, or maybe it is how the characters were written. I don't know, they just never clicked with me. Not the way the members of Oliver's earlier teams did. I feel like after an entire Season with them we still don't actually really know them. I don't know, might just be a me issue.

Also, why wouldn't Quentin call Sara when he's struggling? I feel like Sara would've been aware, she had just spent several months in Star City because Rip had taken the Waverider from her and she loved her father a lot. So there is no way she wouldn't have spent time with him. She would've also helped Oliver out and most likely realized what a mess his team was.

Also not a fan of the whole E2 Laurel plot. It's another cheap cop-out. They should've just kept Laurel alive.

How can anyone who watched Arrow Season 2 in all seriousness claim Oliver and Sara were never in love when Season 2 is literally the story of their love?

We watch Oliver fall in love with her on Lian Yu.

We watch him open up and commit to her in the present time. We watch them be happy together.

And Oliver tells Barry that Sara was a woman he loved!

And then to have the galls and claim I'm lacking media literacy simply because I'm saying the way Felicity acted after Sara's death was over the top given she'd only really known her for like 4 months and the way she treated Oliver was out of line and downward cruel. Those are facts!

Why is it so difficult for the Olicity fans to admit that Oliver was in move with Sara?

I love Canarrow I am 100% in the camp that thinks Sara was Oliver's best love interest, the love of his life and the one who got away.

Yet I have zero issues with the fact that Oliver had been in love with Laurel and fell in love with Felicity after Sara left. Those facts take nothing away from what Sara and Oliver had. So why is it so difficult for Olicity fans to admit the facts and that Oliver had been in love with Sara?

Thea even makes that statement to Oliver in Season 4 "...you have been in love with Laurel and Sara..." a statement Oliver doesn't disagree with.

And how can you seriously claim Oliver loved Sara, he was romantically and physically involved with her, but he wasn't in love with her. Look up the definition of being in love and learn that what you described is pretty much said definition:

"If you are in love with someone, you feel romantically or sexually attracted to them, and they are very important to you."

"You care about this person's needs, interests, and desires as much as you care about your own. You feel grateful to have them in your life. Your feelings for them are consistent and just keep getting stronger. You're interested in conversation and emotional connection—it's not just about the physical."

"To be in love" means experiencing intense, romantic, and often passionate feelings for someone, characterized by deep affection, attraction, and a strong desire for closeness. It often involves a state of infatuation, euphoria, and mental preoccupation with the person."

I don't know but sounds a lot like Oliver and Sara in Season 2 (and beyond, but that's another argument) to me.

Okay no question but I've been reading your fanfiction for awhile, and absolutely love them. I just found you on tumbler and was so excited. Oliver Queen and Sara Lance are so underrated, you do an amazing job of portraying them and evolving them. I appreciate everything you do and keep up the amazing work; your writing style is great, and your passion shines through in what you write!

Oliver and Sara extremely underrated and I just don't get it because not only did they make the most sense, especially the way they were written, but Stephen and Caity had great chemistry and always brought their A-game in the scenes they had together. And I love the fact that those two, in stark contrast to some of the writers, never forgot how important Sara and Oliver were to each other. I mean, seriously all they shared in Arrow Season 4 were looks, not a single conversation, hug, whatever and still they managed to portray their connection and their importance to each other beautifully.

Okay, sorry for the unexpected rant, got a little side tracked here.

It makes me so happy that you enjoy my stories and feel that way about my writing. Thank you so much for this huge compliment.

I just had a thought...

Sara wasn't in the crossover that had Oliver take Barry and Kara's place because her team fucked up.

But wouldn't Gideon let her know? Because that choice of Oliver's totally messes the timeline up, he is supposed to live well into his 80ties.

And if Gideon would let Sara know, Sara would confront Oliver and undo what Oliver did because she swore to protect the timeline, which meant Oliver was fucking with her business which is something she would not appreciate.

So, there's no way Crisis happened this way. Sara wouldn't let Oliver mess with her work. Afterall she didn't show up in Star and mess with his work. She's stayed out of his business, so he has no business messing hers up.

The musicians give it their all on stage, play their hearts out and give off tons of energy, but no one cheers or dances or sings, and after every song there is near silence. And when it's all over, there might be some polite clapping.

Those kinds of shows are awkward and no fun, am I right? If you as an audience member can feel it, can you imagine what it's like for the band? To see people in the seats or standing in the crowd, listening, but they are dead silent. The will to keep playing shows like that just evaporates.

Because there was a comment saying that basically fanfiction authors need to stop whining about not getting engagement and only write for themselves like "real artists" ...

So here's the thing.

If by your hand you have created something with the intention of being creative, you are an artist.

Authors, please do not allow someone else's perception of what an artist is sway your desire to continue creating art.

Fanfiction writers are not "seeking validation."

We are seeking community and community is not built on silence.

If you don't want to be apart of that community, that space, all the more power to you to leave it, but to shame others for wanting to converse with like-minded people is not "asking for handouts" and it, in no way, means they aren't an artist.
