My first Showreel, I hope you guys enjoy!
This is my showreel, I tried my best to edit it, doing the intro effect probably took about a minute less than the rest of the editing :’)

Trying my hand at lip-syncing once again, this time animating a bag of flour saying the opening to “Rap God” by Eminem
I decided to animate the fingers of an iron Man glove flying in and snapping into place!
A walk cycle I created, with arm movements as well, using a TF2 Scout model in Maya
This a playblast of a much simpler version of Mike’s Engine that I created. I used trial and error with different constraints to get the rear one working first, then I saved the file and imported it back into itself, saved it, and imported it again, so that I had 4 “Engine” pieces. I rotated the second main wheel 90 degrees, the third wheel 180, and the fourth wheel 270. I then created a Nurbs circle, and rotated it so it was acing the same way as the main wheels.
I then parented all the main wheels to the nNrb, so that when I rotated the Nurb all of the wheels rotated, consequently moving the pistons.
Here is me moving the Nurb circle, showing it rotates every main wheel.
This is “Version 1″ of my final product for Deb’s work.
For most of the transitions and effects, such as the words appearing at the beginning, or the word “revolutionise”, or the chests appearing on the blueprint, I used the scale tool. The way I got the object to only scale along one axis was by unlinking the scale between x & y, shown here:
This allowed the height of the chests to stay the same, so that they would only stretch horizontally. I made sure to move the anchor point of each object I wanted this effect on to the edge I wanted them to expand from or shrink to.
To animate the cube bobbing up and down at roughly 20 seconds, I set 2 keyframes for it to rotate 270 degrees, and spaced them apart, so that it gave the rotation rate that I wanted. I then went back to when it started rotating, and keyframed its position to co-incide with the rotation, to make the bobbing up and down look smoother.
I used the audio from the beginning of “Hat Corp Episode 42″, as it was already in an info-mercial style, and I thought this would be a challenge for me to animate.
