AUG/ wellness.
In honor of National Wellness Awareness Month Iād like to share some of the things Iāve learned on my journey to better health mentally, physically & spiritually. Holistically. First Iād like to start by stating that this path is not always linear, perfect nor easy, but itās worth it and it can be with consistency.
Wellness is important because it is the motor that converts energy into fuel which will drive every other aspect of your life. You canāt drive a car with just a gas pedal and steering wheel but no engine. Hence, weāre geared towards diving deeper into the pit of our souls.
SOUL-SEARCHING.
Vroom-vroom here we go! So like anyone else on this planet, Iāve had some pretty traumatic experiences, but the lessons that came out of them are what truly matters. From mommy/daddy issues to abuse and alcoholism running deep in my DNA, it was hard trying not to point fingers somewhere. But where? That leads me to prayer & meditation. The asking and the receiving, with gratitude falling right in between. The most high showed me how to heal by asking all the right questions -- for wisdom and discernment. Compassion & forgiveness came naturally. & the right people and lessons always showed up right on time.
During those moments of darkness in the cocoon phase something magical happens. Reconstruction, transformation. It looks beautiful like a butterfly in the end, but the pain of the moment can feel like a never-ending rollercoaster. Afterwards youāre equipped with a whole new set of tools.
That being said, here are some of the tools that help me:
