What most call “Power Exchange” in the kink/BDSM context usually refers to conscious, explicit, and consensual dynamics where the exchange of power is intentional, negotiated, and often formalized.. and I am sorry to say has existed in the vanilla (non-kink) world much longer then the term kink has existed.
