Keith convinced me to join his shenanigans like usual so here we go,

I’ve been given many names:

“Thunderfingers”

“The Ox”

“The Quiet One”

But you can call me John Entwistle (or whatever you please if your name is Keith Moon). I am bass guitar, horns and vocals for (in)famous rock band The Who.

A bit more info about me:

☆ Professional Keith handler (or sometimes enabler).

☆ Collector of guitars, alcohol, stylish clothing, eccentric decor, cigarette ash, suits of armor, antiques, guns, etc. etc.

☆ Inventor of Rotosound round wound bass strings.

☆ The band’s peacock, you must dress to attract attention when standing as still as I do, so as not to blend too far into the shadows.

The people have spoken, so I will share a bit more about my collection for anyone interested:

My first bass was handmade by myself, with some help from a bloke named Harry who owned the local music shop. He handed me a small pickup and said he’d fret the fingerboard for me if I cut out the body and neck of the bass in the shape I liked.

I wanted it to look like a Fender so I tried my best to cut it into the right shape and size, but it ended up with a neck much longer than needed. It was a terrible bass, but I didn’t mind. I was happy to have one at a time when there weren’t many on the market. I had to build my own since the basses available were too expensive.

My amplification back then wasn’t much better, but eventually I could get nicer equipment.

How are the rest of the boys when it comes to spiders? Idk why but I imagine roger to be scared of creepy crawlies...

You imagine correctly, I remember one morning Roger woke up to a spider crawling on his chest.

I’ve never heard a girlier scream.

Keith doesn’t seem to mind spiders much. In fact I suggest they stay away from him, unless they want to be blown up by a cherry bomb or worse.

Hmm not so sure about Pete, but I imagine he’d consider them a nuisance.

john what is ur favourite bass?!?!?!

Well I’ve had so many basses over the years, it’s hard to choose just one. Here’s a few:

One of my favorite precision basses has to be this baby, made it with my own hands. I call it ‘Frankenstein’ since it’s made up of so many different parts from various basses. I had it refinished from sunburst to pink in the mid 70’s. Used on lots of your favorite records over the years.

Of course I’ve owned and played multiple Gibson Thunderbirds, can never go wrong with one of those.

I’ve had different versions made of my custom ‘axe bass’ design.

I’ve played a few Alembic bass models, I even smashed one on stage once.. destroyed a very expensive piece of wood, I don’t recommend it.

Another custom bass I had made was my ‘Boris the Spider’ bass, not sure how practical it is, but I love it regardless.

I could go on, but let’s end it here. I’ve already talked your ear off enough, people will start mistaking me for Pete if this continues.

Update:

Keith has blown up 5 toilets, destroyed both mine and his own mattress, thrown a tv out a window, and now we’re at a pub on our 5th round of drinks.
