i know a lot of people are going to disagree with what iâm about to say and tbh iâm okay with that bc i donât expect everyone to agree but i hope we can all be respectful to one another.
if iâm being honest⊠i donât think jaehyun and the rest of them did anything wrong??? i think people upset at what happened need to understand that the situation in korea isnât as bad as theyâre making it seem compared to other countries. south korea was never on a proper lockdown and prior to the 4 of them going out, social distancing guidelines were actually eased and cases in korea were in single digits and most of the cases were from foreign travelers⊠not to mention businesses, subways, buses and streets are packed normally so people were able to go out freelyâŠ
i can understand people getting upset at the fact that he didnât quarantine afterwards but i donât think it should be this excessive⊠i think whatâs most important is that heâs apologized and heâs reflecting on himself for his actions.Â
i also think itâs worth mentioning that:
they all went out to the restaurant and the bars on the night of april 25th
the first confirmed patient that was in itaewon was may 1st
the patient was then confirmed to have covid may 5th
they all went out before the wave of the new cases and jaehyun (along with the other three) voluntarily tested for it and the results were negative and heâs safe and healthy.Â
also, this is purely just based off of observation so do what you will with that but the timing of this article being released really doesnât sit well with me lol... they went out almost a month ago so why did they wait all that time to release it now in the middle of ewâs comeback and literally a Day right before nctâs comeback??? not to mention, this article was also released around the same time as the nth room prosecution, an issue so much bigger than 4 idols going out but did that make the same headlines??? no.
like i get it, i get that heâs a celebrity figure and there are things he shouldnât be doing but i think people need to realize that theyâre humans too and that the âperfectâ image theyâre so obsessed with will never be real... i donât want to get deep but jaehyun has opened up about this before and mentioned how heâs felt so much pressure from trying to keep up with this so called perfect image and how he was finally starting to stray away from it because he himself understands that itâs just not possible... that image sm and everyone else has tried to force on him for all this time just isnât real and if people are truly so upset then are you really in love with jaehyun or are you in love with the artificial image?Â
