The Unknown Soldier. By The Ghost 👻
As night falls the skys light up like the 4th of July. Instead of cheers and delight their screams in the night.
The mountain side lights up, the enemy is near. All I can hear is the whistling of rockets in my ear. What is this horrible place that gives me such fear.
If it not for my friends I would run from this dreadful site, soldiers dying left and right.
No this can't be true the enemy in my sight,I raise my rifle to my shoulder all of sudden I feel much older. I squeeze the trigger never letting go, down goes one, two three or four as my soul is crippled forevermore.
We have won this battle won this fight, we have displayed our superior might. As the sun rises its on display, the cost of war is forever more.
Later that day it's my turn,as the sun scorches and starts to burn. I hear the familiar voice, we miss you and love you, how have you been ? My throat is dry my voice it crackles but I muster the strength. I am fine Mom how are you ? These memories cut me through and through the price of war for me and you.
