Right…Well, first of all…I’m not entirely sure how one measures devotion using Minecraft, but I suspect naming a world “dr watson’s thick thighs” puts you alarmingly high on the leaderboard?
The framed photograph is… concerning. Yes. The multiple photographs are more concerning. The fact that you’ve apparently built a digital shrine to me while dressed as me is the sort of thing @artofdeductionbysholmes would find fascinating and I would find a perfectly reasonable cause to move house… (and to inform the authorities).
That said, I do appreciate the… enthusiasm.
Do I think you’re my biggest fan? Difficult to say. There are billions of people on the planet, and thankfully most of them have not informed me of the existence of their Watson-thigh-themed Minecraft worlds.
Although I should note that @safedistancefrombeingsmart once pictured my thighs in a maid outfit. That’s not a sentence I expected to write today, and yet here we are! (No, I will not give you the link to the post!)
So, for the sake of diplomacy, you and @safedistancefrombeingsmart can both claim first place. If either of you starts making certificates, I’m deleting this blog.

Hi Mr. Watson! I love reading your work! I was wondering, do you have any tips for an aspiring writer?
Well, first of all, that’s very kind of you to say.
I’m not sure I’m the one who ought to be giving writing advice, considering I’m just a blogger, but I suppose it all comes down to putting in the hours. Gaining experience through practice.
So, write constantly; short, long, it doesn’t matter. And write about people. Plots are important, certainly, but readers remember people: their flaws, their hopes, and the odd things they do when they think nobody is watching.
This means that you should carry a notebook. Observe. Listen. Most conversations are far stranger and more interesting than anything you could invent from scratch (trust me).
And don’t wait for inspiration to arrive in a dramatic cloud of smoke. Sit down and write even when you’re convinced it’s rubbish. You can improve a bad draft; you can’t improve a blank page.
Finally, read widely. Read things you love, and read things you don’t. Both will teach you something. At the very least, they’ll teach you grammar.
