Have you ever read the fallen series by engazed? It's sherlock&john rather than slash, but it's honestly one of my favourite fics I've ever read, be sure to check the tags though! ❤️❤️Hugely recommend!!!

When Sherlock chose to jump off the roof of St Bartholomew's Hospital to save his friends, he could not have anticipated the devastating and far-reaching consequences. He wasn't the only one who fell that day.
"Why don't you sit down and have a nice cup of tea, Sherlock?"
Sherlock's face held the blank expression of a man in shock.
His mind far away. Not comprehending.
Not registering any of her words, as she placed the steaming cup in his hands,
and made his fingers curl around it.
Serbia and Italy had been a cake walk compared to this. He was back at 221b. Mrs. Hudson was serving him his favorite brew.
But he was not home ...
He held the cup in his hands -
Absentmindedly standing
and going back over to her door.
Pushing it open. Just to check and see ...
if it was real?
if he was still dreaming?
if he was still in a torture chamber, locked away in the cold and dark, away from the sunlight ...
His eyes could not stop staring at the empty coat hook next to his inside the hall;
The Belstaff was real.
The scarf too,
and the terrible hat;
But not John's coat.
None of John's coats.
Not now.
John had pushed him away.
Had left in a cab with Mary. Even after that look.
That look that had said everything Sherlock had needed to know.
Even after that. He had left. He was Angry.
Not even a goodbye.
Not looking back.
Sherlock had stood fixed to that spot for half an hour. Disregarding the cold. Half-expectant. Half-dread.
He had just come back from the dead after all ...
Was it too much to hope that John Watson
Would come back from around the corner?
He waited until reason had won out over the small hope that he held onto - and his extremities were becoming uselessly numb - before hailing a cab of his own back to Baker Street.
Alone.
He had not realized how hard it would be.
Stepping up to that door, empty handed.
Until his hand was on the door handle ... and it was shaking uncontrollably from the exertion and exhaustion he had been through ... as he went to push it open.
He was spared the trouble.
Mrs. Hudson - always remarkable - had somehow anticipated his returning without his quarry.
He blinked. Had somehow expected his returning? He blinked again.
Had somehow expected him to show up, tonight.
The hero, non-triumphant.
She pulled him into a great big hug, rubbing his back like a child, and ushered him immediately into her sanctum to recuperate. Her kitchen smelled of scones and tea.
As Sherlock stood there unappreciative of the angel who was entertaining him,
the angel bustled about.
Working to set things to rights.
"You boys need a stern talking to, that's what!" She managed at last, placing a plate in front of his nose harshly. She was able to pull Sherlock out of his reverie for a moment to focus on some soup that came next.
"Have you even eaten?? How many days has it been?" she tutted about him.
Sherlock smiled a sad, half-smile at that remark, and looked up at her now. Trying to give her his full attention.
She deserved it. She had saved him more times than he had saved her. Many times over.
"Thank you, Mrs. Hudson," he finally managed, his eyes downcast in humility, "I don't deserve this warm welcome."

Two Coffees One Black One With Sugar Please series by Linpatootiewritten pre S3 but very softe Sherlock, really sweet, all-time fave, contains some straight with an exception John (fair warning) but written by a true prophet of their time if you ask me
Damn, I’m Good by atthebarricadeJohn and Sherlock’s relationship through Mike Stamford’s eyes. This one made me cry happy tears in bed at 3 in the morning once I’m still not over it it’s so cute.

Hi Steven and Mark! Just one question: why are there so many elephants?
Are there a lot of elephants? Do you mean in the world? I think they’re endangered, like giraffes, which have suddenly become endangered. I think perhaps we should have more giraffes in Sherlock. That’ll save them.
