Hi! I'm in love with your Tumblr, it's incredibly amazing! I'd like to ask you two questions. Where are you from? How old are you? Thanks :)
Thank you 😍😍 I'm 37 and I'm from Naples, Italy
“Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” directed by Steven Spielberg, 1989
In this picture I look so stupid, it was very early in the morning and I was overexcited ahah. This is Castle Bürresheim in Germany and it’s where Indiana Jones goes to save his father from a bunch of nazis. The interiors are filmed in a studio. If you want to visit the castle it’s just 5 euros and it’s very beautiful inside. I’ve tried to recreate the scene as better as possible but it was really a challenge. They probably filmed from a hill in front of the castle, I had to hike a bit but after 30 years so many trees and plants have grown and the exact view is now impossible to recreate, so I went a bit more up until I found a spot trough the trees. The castle was slightly modified in the movie with some added towers. I’m not even sure that road exists in that position, I couldn’t find one. There’s actually a beautiful garden there. Anyway it was very exciting to see a place connected to my childhood

The Verve: “Bitter Sweet Symphony ” by Walter A. Stern (1997)
Isn’t it incredible that after many years there’s still a cone on the sidewalk? I swear I didn’t bring it. It was already there and it made me laugh so hard :D

ma come fai a trovare tutti quei posti fichi dove hanno girato i film?
E’ un lavoro estenuante ahah :D

Brutalist blocks on Kale Road, London, UK
i’m a huge Aphex Twin fan since the 1993 and when I found out this location I ran to London like a crazy kid. On Kale Road/ Yarnton Way is set most part of this music video. The parking lot is unfortunately gone but all the buildings are there. Lot of things are changed. For example in this picture the guardrail was taken off and the asphalt was substitute it with some grass. On the wall you can also see the shadow of the low wall that was previously installed there. Around the neighborhood also Clockwork Orange was filmed, in particular Alex’s house (very hard to get in) and the artificial lake where he throws his droogs in the water. When I visited the lake location, the buildings in front of the lake was being demolished :( .. I’ve sent an email to the construction company and they told me they will build something new there but the artificial lake will be kept and also the promenade where the scene was filmed. Let’s hope. Now back to Aphex Twin, visit the area as soon as possible because is going to be heavily redeveloped and it’s losing its brutalist-london-creepy.90s appeal.

“Suspiria” by Dario Argento (1977)
Haus zum Walfisch, Freiburg, Germany.
The “Freiburg Dance Academy.”
Long story short: the house was really used for some early filming but in that days the german bank Sparkasse bought the building and once they realized that a horror movie was being filmed there, they withdrew the permission. So Dario Argento had the facade of the building rebuilt in a movie studio in Rome.
In the second picture you can see the fake facade.
When I was there I befriended two Austrian tourists in front of the facade taking pictures and I just told them: “Suspiria?” and they bursted in a laugh of excitement and told me: “YES!!!”
In the picture I’m standing in front of the door. I’m very far and my overexcited smile is not really visible ahah

The final discussion.
The shop changed a lot in 20 years but some original red walls are still visible in the back.
