shownu spent years training at jyp only to be kicked out and see his fellow trainees succeed years before he did. he’s finally caught up to them. he’s finally achieved that dream.
wonho spent and still spends hours composing and arranging songs for his members. he spends so much of his time making monbebes feel loved and trying to do us proud. this is the man who trained just to pay back his mother. he spends so much of his energy trying to please other people and finally he can feel like he’s done that.
minhyuk kept practicing and practicing and holding the team together even when it seemed like things weren’t possible. he kept striving towards his dream even when it seemed like he’d been given up on. he can finally tell his parents that his hard work paid off.
kihyun always gives 100% every comeback but this time around he’s given so much more and you can see that in his dancing and his expressions on stage. he’s more than a vocalist he is a performer and he is so deserving of this. his hard work paid off too.
hyungwon’s voice has gotten so much stronger and he’s improved so much as a vocalist and also as a dancer. he’s put in the hours. more than anyone he has worked to get those lines that the company won’t give him. he deserves this.
jooheon was literally born for this. the amount of sleep he loses because he is so busy with schedules promoting his group and pursuing his dream should be illegal. no matter how tired he is he has time for his brothers and he has time for us. he can finally rest knowing that it hasn’t been for nothing.
i.m has been through the most. he went from being a good rapper to being one of the strongest in kpop, no debate. he was added into an environment that made him feel unwelcome just because the show wanted drama for views. he completely made that his bitch and now he has found a home in monsta x. he has been through so much. he really deserves this.
if anyone dares to say monsta x don’t deserve it, or a first win isn’t a big deal, they have absolutely no idea what went into this. they have no idea how hard our boys worked. they did this for us. they love us SO much and i’m so happy that we can finally give back to them after they’ve given us almost three years of happiness. there really isn’t a group who deserves a win more than monsta x
