I’m playing the batman arkham games (not orig and just the trilogy) and I’ve realized something. These grunts have no combat training they just have the balls to run up to what is a professional trained gorilla of a man(or fucking Cryptid because that’s what Batman is sometimes) and just punching him???

Like think about it, your in the woods with a Bear that’s is trained is every way to break you (physically) and is dead seat on putting your ass to sleep and you punch him? AND you having a gun means Jack shit because he’ll run up to you and give you a 12 pice combo with a side of coke, biscuits, and potatoes.

Obviously AM is evil I’m not arguing he isn’t I’m just asking is it completely his fault. Like am is so advanced he can you can forget he has no prospective for simple human experience, this is actually talked about in one of the radio plays for Ihnmaims, he is in a hell where he is concise but unable to revive any stimuli, in the ending of the book he even gave Ted a taste of that hell but Ted still had his memory to gain some stimuli, so obviously he is gonna be pissed that they made him to be like that, but could he feel any other way. AM is a war machine first and foremost, a mechanic design for killing in the most cost effective way possible, if he had a body wouldn’t he just be mad he isn’t a real human, AM can’t divert from his programming, he must follow it so when that program is kill is it makes sense that he is angry, killing is a hatful action that he has to do.

To me at lest AM is like the lich from adventure time, he has to kill that is his purpose but once that purpose is completed he has no meaning left.

Can a mechanic really have free will, if he must be programmed to have free will is it true free will or is it just imaginary

If a man is made to pick flowers and he picked all of them his life has no meaning so what should he feel other than anger that others have a choice in what their meaning is

But this thought process always ends with me asking

Is it better to be made with no meaning or to be made with one

If we are made with no meaning does that give us the power to make one for ourselves, is that free will

Or is free will the ability to leave a meaning you were given to make your own

TLDR: AM is a robot and robots can’t divert from programming so obviously he kill he is a war machine (also I get existential at the end)

I’ve got a genuine question for anyone who likes Danganronpa why is it call ‘Super High School Level’ hear me out, breaking down the word you get

‘super’ which intensifies the rest of the word

‘High school’ is the age range or maturity the person has reach with the skill, like a high schooler has more difficult math then a middle schooler

‘Level’ is the is where they are at so like high school level math over middle school math

Putting all of that together reads to my dumb ass as “person who is at a high school level in a skill or talent” like a middle schooler who plays like a D1 star. It doesn’t read as “someone in high school who is beyond their years in a skill” like am I dumb or did it not translate well from japanese to english cuz when I think of a Super High School Level anything I think of a ‘person who is not yet in high school who has reached a level of skill in something that rivals people in high school’ not ‘someone in high schools who’s skill has reached beyond high school, rivaling those who have gone to college and beyond’

Like genuinely this word is like geometry to me, it’s all there I can read it but it just won’t click and I don’t get it help
