Even though I’m not supposed to, I think everyone deserves to enjoy this moment of flirting on stage. Machida-san’s eyebrow is deadly.

Also, Akaso-san is very entertaining to watch, he’s not very good at schooling his face, his emotions shine through all the time. He looks like he’s trying not to smile stupidly, throughout, the way he’s constantly moving his face to press down on his smile. He seems to be the kind who feels a lot, somehow. Laughing uproarously at Machida-san being electrocuted to the point that he couldn’t stop crying afterwards (I’ve seen comments where they even wonder if he really was just laughing, since he was crying so much). And saying he’s not at all like Adachi, all the while looking all shy and red in the face. A particularly cute moment was when Machida-san explained why he chose “Akaso as Adachi” as his favourite scene (all of the show where Akaso appears, basically. haha!) and Akaso-san is getting so flustered and red that he starts sweating and fanning himself. He’s just irresistably adorable.

And Machida-san certainly knows how to tease and play along. He’s got no problem just sitting looking like a supermodel, with his loooong legs, all calm and cool. So it was fun seeing him losing it a few times too. 

Not even the cursed corona can stop these two from being amazing together.

I think this movie is really awesome because it can be read as a story of a bi dog longing for a romantic relationship, a bi dog longing for a friendship or a bi dog longing for a partnership that isn’t romantic. Dog is bi either way

I think there is A LOT you can talk about the romance subtext and text this movie has, I think a lot of people might take away a message about friendship too, but I do want to talk about the aspec perspective this movie can have

Dog wants a deep relationship with someone but he doesn’t find anyone that seems to provide that, he stares at two couples in this movie and both seem to be romantic

Robot and Dog share a life together, they have a partnership

The way Dog and Robot share their affection for each other is through looking at each other fondly and holding hands. Holding hands is seen as extremely important and personal in the movie

Dog almost forms a relationship with a duck and the most they do is spend a day together fishing and Dog holds on to her when they are riding a bike together

Robot forms a relationship with Rascal, they spend their lives together, holding hands is yet again seen as a grand gesture of affection. The end of the movie indicates that the relationship Robot has with Rascal is exclusive, Robot can’t go back with Dog with no consequences to the relationship they have with Rascal, it would affect what they have and it would hurt Rascal (and Tin’s!) feelings

This movie is less about robots and more about metaphors for relationships, I can see how you could use dog’s relationship with robot as a metaphor for being aroace. Now allos calling aspec people robots is aphobic, but a lot of aspec people have found comfort in robots. It is different when an alloromantic allosexual person calls aspec people robots and when an aspec person uses robots to describe their experiences as an aspec person. The movie is not trying to do this of course, but as an interpretation of the story from my own aspec perspective, I think it works strongly well that Dog struggles to find the kind of relationship he wants because (in the context of this interpretation) he is aspec himself and he finds it easier forming a connection with a robot because of that. By the end of the movie he forms another relationship with another robot, Tin

I think the movie talks about relationships, about friendships, about being gay, about being aspec, etc etc You can see the movie in many ways, it’s all there
