me now: Netflix's "Dark" makes use of the same 'doubling' we frequently find in Goethe-- z.B.: in episode 7, Jonas sleeps overnight in the hunter's blind, while Helge does the same later in the series. Both characters are trying to change their current timeline, yet neither will succeed. Jonas: a young man trying to prevent the future; Helge: an old man trying to change the past. In this manner, antecedent and consequent are set as equals in Winden.
