Balkan Lullaby Project

So even with my RCM 8 exam looming I’ve decided to take on my own personal project. By July I hope to do a short online concert of lullabies composed by some of my favourite Balkan composers.

I hope everyone enjoys my performance and I hope I can highlight these pieces well. I have so much hard work to do between now and then but I’m up for the challenge.

I actually have 3 out of 4 pieces ready to go. Just have to print 2 and I have to purchase a 4th. I’m so excited about this project. Miroslav Tadic was particularly gracious and kind by providing his music for free. Also making sure that I knew the cultural significance behind knitting lullaby. I feel like he would be a really amazing teacher and mentor!

It’s a rainy blah kinda day. Perfect for practicing!
