Jonah had known Marissa through work for quite a while, and at the end of the day he considered her a friend. She had been there for him through many difficult cases, especially one particular case he had during the pregnancy that took the life out of him. Something was off with her and he was determined to find out what it was. Jonah got two coffees, tracking her down during his break. Without saying anything he handed the brunette one of the coffees. “I’m here if you want to talk about it.” Jonah said simply. “I won’t push, but god knows you’ve been there for me more times than I can count.” ( @marissxhunt )

Jaron: What time do you usually finish? I'll pop round one evening when your both home? :)

Jaron: Oh your cute :P I'm super excited though.

Jonah: Lately I've been going home about 8pm.

Jonah: Getting home around 9:30. I'm super excited for you!

Jaron: Duh!! I was with Casey and AJ the other day actually, I think you were at work?

Jaron: We've begun filming season 4 of Laws of Murder.. Woop woop!

Jaron: Sure am, dreamboat! I wasn't expecting to come back so soon but, work commitments here calls!

Jonah: We have to get together as soon as possible.

Jonah: What are you doing here for work?

With both he and Casey being back to work, Jonah’s anxiety was higher than it had ever been. He didn’t like leaving his son knowing both he and Casey were working, but they had no other choice. Jonah had been very strict at his office lately about getting home in time, his family was the most important thing in the world to him. As he got back to their house, when he walked in it was perfectly quiet, almost as if AJ was already down to go to bed. Jonah took off his jacket before making his way to the nursery, seeing their son sound asleep. He smiled as he leaned against the doorframe, standing there for a minute before he walked into their bedroom. “Case?” He asked softly, looking for his girlfriend. “There you are. God, you’re so sexy.” ( @catchupcasey )

With everything going on, Jonah was in desperate need of some alone time with his sister. Reese was aware that Casey had been diagnosed with postpartum psychosis and how rough the past couple of months had been for them. On top of that, Jonah was expected back to work full time because male maternity leave was only a month. He wasn’t ready to leave Casey or AJ, but he didn’t have a choice if he wanted to keep his job. He planned to meet his sister on his lunch break, texting her as he made his way out of his office building to the restaurant across the street that they’d been to many times. As he saw her, he let out a relieved sigh and smiled. “You have no idea how good it is to see you,” he said as he hugged his sister. “How’re you doing?” Jonah asked as he sat down across from her. He wanted to hear about her and how she was doing, it would distract him from everything else. “Sorry that I’ve only got an hour, but you’re used to my job by now.” ( @reesespieces86 )

Casey: No I do get it darling, really I do. I just, the issues weren't meant to happen, they've put me on medication to try and fix it. There is something wrong. And I messed up a lot of things. And I just want us to still be strong as we were before AJ, or while I was pregnant.

Casey: I promise, but it won't be too much for me.

Jonah: There was no way to predict it would happen. The doctor said that once you get used to the meds you should start to feel like yourself again, and I'll be there for you every step of the way. We're still that strong babe, there's just a bump in the road. I'm not going anywhere and neither is AJ.

Jonah: Okay. We can try.

Casey: I know but having a baby changes a lot of things, the ...issues I have, I don't want anything to change Jonah. I don't want to lose anything.

Casey: You're not going to hurt me, not much anyway, it'll hurt whenever we do it again.

Jonah: It takes two people to take a baby, and I don't see your "issues" as issues, Case. You can't help it anymore than you can help breathing. Don't you get by now that I really fucking love you? I'm so in love with you, and having AJ has just reminded me of every reason why.

Declan: Alright, but if we try and it's too much for you, promise me we'll stop.

Casey: Okay good, so we haven't lost the ability to understand each other, that's a relief!

Casey: You're not going to hurt me Jonah, it's been nearly a month and a half. Really, I'm ready.

Jonah: No, we're never going to lose that. Part of the reason we're as strong as we are is how well we understand each other.

Jonah: I don't know, I just really don't want to hurt you, babe.

Casey: Quiet, not sure I remember what the sounds like.

Casey: No i mean I really need you. It's been long enough hasn't it?

Jonah: Oh I knew exactly what you meant. I was still saying I need you, too.

Jonah: I just don't want to hurt you. Maybe we should wait a few more weeks.

Casey: I'd like that too. Before I go back to work, we can spend some time together.

Jonah: I want us to spend time together, too. As much as I love our son, I miss you. I miss mornings where we could just lay in bed and it'd be quiet.

Jonah: Why not ask her to keep him overnight? It'd be so nice to have the alone time.
