Business Model Presentation and Thesis
Graduation is finally here. Over the past few weeks in the business model presentation and thesis, I have combined work from each class and applied it to my final presentation. Coming into the presentation and thesis class my original goal was to do whatever it took to finish. My biggest fear was to not have a business model solidified. When reading the course description prior to starting my degree I set a tangible goal to have no less then an A in the class and a pitch ready business model.
Over the four-week period my goal was met by simply completing each assignment. In addition to developing a business model, I created a solid presentation and thesis. I learned in order to develop a good business presentation you must include more than what your company does. A good business model includes information on your company, the market, financial projections, and position amongst competitors. Writing my thesis, I gained a hard look at the over state of my business. Originally my company pushed getting college students scholarships. In the end it became evident that my company did much more than help get scholarships, rather offering a full channel to transitioning athletes from high school start to the college ranks.
Holistically, I look to apply the course material and knowledge gained to increase my company’s potential. Implementation of what I learned in business model presentation and thesis will start in the form protecting my company legally. Applying the right business type (LLC), trademarking and copyright will ensure protection from potential lawsuits. I will pitch my company to investors by utilizing my final presentation deck.
My time in business model presentation and thesis has shown me a company is more than just a good business model. In the end a great business highlights their strengths and eliminates issues.
