Seventy Pesos...

It was a busy day for me, I guess I'm getting sick because of busyness..hehehe..

This morning I travel back to AUP(my school), and I rode a jeepney from South Station to Balibago, then I paid Php 104.00 to the conductor. Then I called my bff Hannah, to tell her that I'm going back to AUP. After the call, I was busy thinking what will I do first, then I noticed that there was a heavy traffic, we don't have any move to the place where our jeepney is, then I think again. After 20 minutes of waiting, our jeepney is able to move and go to the road to the expressway. Then while travelling I fell asleep, then before we reach Balibago I woke up, then I looked at my coin purse and I noticed that my coin purse was open, then I realized the conductor did not gave my change back. Suppose to be the change that he will give to me is seventy pesos, poor me, this is the first time that this kind of dilemma had happened to me, because that is the only money I have in my coin purse. And I praise God when I looked into my wallet there is twenty pesos, then I can go back to my school.

P.S.

I hope that the conductor might be blessed by the seventy pesos

Lesson:

-Please do ask your change after you have given your payment to the conductor or any cashier before you go.

-Be alert while travelling, don't let your mind think of anything that will bother you.

-Don't be to busy thinking about things or problems, or else, sooner you will get older.

-Though it might happen to you again, Praise God in any circumstances, because He has purpose on everything.

Face Your Failure

If the Lord delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm;

though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord uphold him with his hand.

Examination day and most of the students are studying really hard just to pass the examination, if they pass the examination some will celebrate, some will maintain their scholarship and etc. I have a friend who had took the exam and he told me that he should have a perfect score but because of only one mistake he didn't have a perfect score, and I've said to him that it is ok to have one mistake, and he must be grateful and thankful because he got almost perfect. But it seems the words that I have spoken to him doesn't affect him, he keeps on repeating the mistake that he had, then I kept silent.

Some of us are afraid to face failure or mistake that they have made, and it seems that it is the end of the world for them, they are a having hard time to accept it. But God will still love you even if you commit 100 mistakes. Let us face failure, and God will uphold you with His hand.

Called to Shine

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let you light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

The speaker had given only two points:

Light conquers darkness – Psalm 119:105

“Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path.”

Light conditions dreariness – (Spiritual Climate)

There is a Light of an institution (vs. 14)

In Northern California, Seventh-day Adventists made a medical mission with the theme: “Building Bridges.” With the help of the government in that place, and also with the Department of Health, they have assisted 3,000 people with 500 professional doctors who volunteered to help.

There is a light of an individual – Galatians 5:22

“But the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,...”

One man who had given a testimony on how others see Christ in him, and his story goes like this, he borrowed his father’s new car and when he was driving he saw that the tank is almost to empty so he went to a gasoline station, then he said to the gas fillers, “full tank, diesel” then the gas filler nodded. While he was waiting in his car, there was a sudden commotion at the back of his father’s new car, then the manager told him what was the commotion all about, the manager said that instead of putting diesel on your car, the gas filler had put gasoline. The manager was so sorry for what had happened and this man don’t know what will he do, because it his father’s new car. He just kept silent, and he is holding his peace praying that may God help him to let them see Christ in him. The manager had given him something to drink, to eat just let him feel comfortable, then when the manager had given him the key he just said, “thank you” then he went to his father’s new car then the manager knocked on his window and ask to the man, “what is your religion?”

Then the man was very surprised to the question of the manager to him.

Now, as a Christian your lifestyle could bring change to other people seeing you. You don’t need to be a pastor just to let your shine before men, your reaction on a certain situation might lead others to Christ or not.

“This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine 2x, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine...”

May we as a Christian let our light shine before men, so that they could see whom are we serving.

Devotional for today:

One of the marks of a great man and woman is their ability to keep their word. Sometimes to keep one's word is easy. Sometimes, though, to keep one's word requires one to go through a process of difficult decision making.

...God said He'd save us. And He did even if it meant sending His Son to die. He said it and He did it. No wonder I can't help but call Him Great!(Encounters, 182).

Missing Him

I Miss You Bro!

  I remember it happened a day before my birthday, when he left.

I remember the times when he teased me, when he laughed at me when I fell on the stairs, when he watched over me as I swim, when we ate ice cream together in Jollibee with mama and sis tel (as far as I can remember). How I missed those days. Also I remember, I don’t like him playing basketball, because he always got hurt when he played, but I’m proud of him because he really plays well, he is the most valuable player (mvp) in my heart. He is also a very good swimmer, how I wish that he had taught me before he left. How I wish he was here to punch straight to the face of those guys who have broke my heart. Ha-ha-ha. He is smart, tall, brown (not dark ^_^), and handsome, anything that you could ask for a man, but he is not perfect. He is no other than my "Kuya Buboy."

But when the day he had left us we really cried a lot, especially mama and papa because he is the only son that they had. He is the only "gentlemen" among the 7 siblings and he is the only “kuya” that I have. We love you bro!

I have asked myself, why now? Why am I hurting so much, when it is almost 10 years when he left? Maybe the answer will be, I was a kid back then, and now I’m already a lady, and I’ve felt the importance of having you in the family.

I’m not questioning God’s providence and I don’t even have the right to question God why did he allow this thing to happen. I’m thankful to the Lord that we are able to cope up from the pain and the hurt of the time he'd left. Yes, God is too wise to be mistaken; God is too good to be unkind. The following verses in the Bible had helped us to move on,

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” –Romans 8:28,ESV

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” –Jeremiah 29:11, ESV
