You there! Weary traveller of dashboards! Are you fond of Jonathan “Jon” Sims or Tim Stoker of The Magnus Archives? Do you enjoy pondering and rotating their relationship in your mind like a microwave? This is an event for you!

Jontim June is a new fan event planned for June 2025 (next month!) focused on the dynamic of Jon and Tim from The Magnus Archives. The Tumblr blog @jontimjune will encourage and collect fan works of all kinds for this event throughout the upcoming month using these prompts, one for each day:

Day #30: Promises

‘Tis the dawn of the final day: Promises, for the thirtieth and last prompt of Jontim June. For two characters who come to value trust and faith like Jon and Tim, vows and promises are perhaps the most poignant, meaningful declarations they could make or receive, especially for and from each other. We’re so glad you could join us for such a lengthy yet utterly delightful fan event — promise you’ll keep the Jontim flame burning, even if we can’t promise another busy June next year!

Day #29: Reincarnation / Immortality

Day twenty-nine is all about Reincarnation / Immortality. An unusual one, but surely compelling nevertheless — what could they do if they had more time, all the time in the world, or another time around, again and again? No end in sight? What if the End had its way with them? Or just one, forced to see the other disappear, or reappear only in fading echoes? Get creative with this one (as you have for weeks, now)! We can’t wait to check out your works.

Day #28: Rage / Revenge

The twenty-eighth day is dedicated to Rage / Revenge! We love some righteous (or perhaps unrighteous) anger and hatred gleaming in our blorbos’ eyes. They certainly aren’t hurting for things to wish for comeuppance for. Let them burn with fiery passions! Give them weapons! Make ‘em dig two graves, or even exact their vengeance from beyond the grave… and be sure to show us using #jontimjune!

Day #27: Youth / University

Here’s day twenty-seven: Youth / University! If you like imagining characters like Jon and Tim as little kids, as awkward tweens, as young adults shuffling their way through academia, today is for you! Alternatively, you could imagine them as professors, bureaucrats, even parents. There are innumerable possibilities for this prompt, and we’re excited to see your interpretations!

Day #26: Reflection

We’re twenty-six prompts in, and it’s time for Reflection! That could be a mirror — Jon and Tim each certainly have lots of features and shared scars to look upon. They likewise have lengthy and storied pasts together and separately to ruminate on. As with previous prompts, no matter what you make, we want your artistic visions to be fully reflected here, so tag them with #jontimjune!

Day #25: Laughter / Leisure

Today’s day twenty-five, and this day’s prompt is Laughter / Leisure! Let the boys have fun! Some casual ribbing at the office, a sweet weekend outing, an impromptu vacation using Institute funds? We want to see Jontim joy! Make them giggle and smile! That’s an order! Well, okay, it’s not — but if you follow that suggestion, or make anything else, please let us know by tagging us! We’re delighted to see what you’ve come up with.

Day #24: Arts / Music

It’s time for the twenty-fourth day, and its associated prompt: Arts / Music! Today’s the day for instruments, favourite songs, dances, handicrafts, and perchance, strange music… You could even depict Jon or Tim practising your fan medium of choice, in a recursive loop of drawing people drawing, writing people writing, and so on. We’ve got two dozen days’ worth of your arts, and we’re happy to see even more @jontimjune!

Day #23: Alternate Universe

Day twenty-three brings us to an absolute classic, one that some folks have definitely already done: Alternate Universes, or AUs. Whether that’s analyzing the knock-on effects of a change in setting, world, social organization, culture, or time (the TMA fandom loves time travel shenanigans), there are so many possibilities for “Jontim… but different!” So many options that we won’t even waste our breath listing some — show us yours instead!

Day #22: Terror / Trauma

Welcome to the fourth week of Jontim June! The twenty-second prompt is Terror / Trauma — just in case you forgot this is a tragic horror podcast! Jon and Tim have both suffered so much and seen such horrific incidents, have been both paralyzed and mobilized by fear. So elaborate on that — there’s no shortage of inspiration to draw upon! Art, writing, whatever you like, send it our way.

Day #21: Carnivals / Circuses

It’s the twenty-first of June, meaning it’s the solstice, and all the holidays that entails. For those enjoying the longest summer day of the year, we’re offering one way to celebrate with today’s prompt: Carnivals / Circuses! If you like the fluff of a day spent under bright lights playing rigged games and winning oversized prizes, or the angst of some canonical clown trauma, or some unique blend, we want to hear about it!

Day #20: Sleeping Together

Day twenty is for Sleeping Together, another fairly self-explanatory prompt. It’s a well-known euphemism, but we’re here for mutual unconsciousness, too! Tuck them into bed together like beloved plush toys, or on a couch, or someplace else more or less horizontal. Perhaps even on that fateful night before the Unknowing… We won’t rest until we see what you’ve dreamt up, so be sure to let us know!

Day #19: Protection

It’s the nineteenth day of Jontim June, and so, here’s the nineteenth prompt: Protection! We love a good protective streak (or defensive one, in some cases). Whether you prefer them shielding themselves or one another from physical or emotional threats, we’d love to check it out, so don’t forget to tag us @jontimjune or via #jontimjune.

Day #18: Ink / Jewellery

Eighteen days in, and we’re on to a fun one: Ink / Jewellery! That could be tattoos and piercings if you’re so inclined, and all the design possibilities that could imply. Or, there’s plenty of ink to read and spill in Jon and Tim’s line of work, especially with all those handwritten statements. Maybe even rings signalling a change in relationship? Whatever direction you choose to take it, we want to decorate our blog with your prompt fills, so make sure tag us!

Day #17: Shelter

It’s time for the seventeenth prompt: Shelter! Get as literal or metaphorical as you want. Let them seek sanctuary from a sudden rain shower, from risks to life and limb… from their feelings, perchance…? Plenty of options, and we want to bring them all under our umbrella at #jontimjune!

Day sixteen is for Jealousy, which is so self-explanatory we’re reticent to even dwell on it.
