I'm totally happy with the ending of "Go for it, Nakamura!" and that's why.

so we see that hirose can't be actually honest with his friends. he's the people pleaser and this makes him unable to distance from ones who make him incomfortable. I'm not going to go deep in the question why is he uncomfortable when they are talking about girls? is this because he's gay? or he's not misogynic? or he's a late bloomer? or an aroace? we don't know and i don't give a damn. the person he's actually close emotionally is nakamura! nakamura is the one encouraging him to be honest with himself and doing something for himself, the way he likes, being alone, peace and quiet. hirose took a bet being honest with nakamura and he won this bet! so he was trying to close the conversation, constantly apologising for his emotions – and after that nakamura said he wanted to be friends! not shaming him but saying it's okay to feel like that! nakamura being the opposite of hirose's friends but hirose takes this as an advantage! because to be honest nakamura is emotionally intelligent guy and hirose was searching for someone as emotionally intelligent as he himself is. they both cried about the romantic film. and shared emotions about it. and liked it very much. hirose puts many effort to relationships and he's happy to see someone seeing this effort. so nakamura became his safe person without even knowing it.

on the other side we have nakamura, who clearly has this autistic trauma. he's afraid to show that he likes something, he's hiding away that he likes octopi(I'm not sure I'm saying it right?). because he've been rejected because of how much he loved them. because how much he wanted to talk. we see him rarely talk in general – and hirose is the one constantly encouraging him to speak about his special interest. from the very beginning, and then in the the 6th episode, where he's supposedly asking him about octopi and their behaviour. just to hear him speak. hirose is trying hard to include nakamura everywhere, in every conversation, so he won't end up feeling left out as usual. it's hirose the first person ever to say that loving BL is okay and doesn't make him weird or bad person. except the manga itself, being the only place where he is able to see people who are just like him (gay), it's the only encouragement. later on there will be hifumi, there will be the author of the manga himself, but at that moment this just removed a big weight from his (and mine) shoulders. he was feared to be rejected and ashamed for doing this, because BL is a shojo, it's a genre for girls typically, but instead, hirose is saying that's OK. being accepting and kind as the person he is. nakamura is right, he is the treasure and we don't deserve hirose aiki at all.

so basically they are each other's first friends? (idk if omori counts...)

this fills my heart with pure joy and soft happiness. they are very happy to have each other.

"go for it, nakamura!" is not about the orientation crisis. nakamura is aware of who he is and does not consider this disgusting (if you want to see something about it go read the summer hikaru died). it's about nakamura falling in love with hirose aiki every day more and more, and them, learning how to live, being just 15-year olds. i will talk about it more later.

so we see that they form a deep emotional connection, and they are on their way to make it even deeper. they are friends, and hold each other dear, encourage each other to be true and honest with themselves. for me it's even cooler than being romantic pair. it takes even bigger meaning then just The True Romantic Ending. they don't need this romantic ending anyway.

i love this anime so much and i love hirose and nakamura separately, and that's why i love this ending and think it's a perfect outcome for them. "go for it, nakamura!" doesn't need a second season... except it won't be about hirose and his inner world. then i will eat it out happily.

this ending made me think about it so i looked up for more screenshots to prove it and!!

IT'S SO CUTE. he's my little baby my babyboy tiny little precious treasure i love him this is SO DETAILED DAMN ! i need to look further more to notice which hand is he uses to do things but there are screenshots proving it!! im left-handed too so it makes me really happy.

in my culture being left-handed is associated with being weird. creative but also inconvenient for other people so many people got forced to use their right hand, and i was treated badly for my handwriting at school. it's like another detail that's says THIS PERSON IS JUST FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG AND DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS AND IS UNCOMFORTABLE FOR US etc. and nakamura is that type. he is fundamentally different from others and it can't be just taken away from him. it's in his biology. he's homosexual he's left-handed he's an otaku he keeps showing signs of being autistic. it hurts me. i love left-handed characters.
