I was going to sleep so I thought to check the answers. Tbh I'm annoyed with my own self. Because I don't know why this tall or short is so important. some days I want to give up on all of this and live like how idk anything. But I can't do it.
i know all of these are stories. but in those moments they are not just mere stories, they are actual experiences though they are empty.
maybe what you said till now went over my head because I still don't understand how "I'm tall", "how relevance is what IS" this capitalized IS confuses me.
am i asking this because your reply is relevant to me? idk I just thought about it. I assume relevance means importance (how much it matters) to me,
you truly have a big heart to answer all of this when your blog is focused on something else.
and even if you don't reply, I would understand why
if you ask me who is this "I" annoyed I'll definitely say a story that appeared on its own.
Like I said, either you're tall or you're not. There's no in-between. What exactly is telling you that you're not tall except for yourself? There is only YOU. Pure blankness.
This is going to sound manifestation-esque but read between the lines:
I take it you're taking what your "senses" tell you as truth. But wait, what exactly are these senses telling you? They are not saying ANYTHING at all. Nothing. There's simply NOTHING there.
All you are seeing is just pixelated appearances. How could they mean anything? If you keep zooming into them, all you can see is just pixels. What you thought was your body is nothing but atoms. What you thought were atoms are nothing but protons, neutrons and electrons. So on and on. There's absolutely nothing there.
All there is is what meaning you give to " ". In other words, what's relevant to you is what " " means right now.
If "I am tall" is what you want it to mean, that's exactly what it means. Even if you see pixels that align in the pixelated mirror as if to show you aren't tall... how can you tell those "pixels" are saying that? If these "pixels" are not telling you anything at all, then they are expecting you to fill the meaning in. These pixels simply cannot mean anything, look like anything, feel like anything, etc. without what they are defined to mean. Do you seriously expect your mind which is itself pixelated to interpret all these pixels correctly? You can see how terrible it is at interpreting these pixels. The pixelated mind uses its pixelated apparatus it is used to to interpret all the pixels. This entire "interpretive process" is meaningless. What it interprets is NEVER EVER the correct interpretation. The pixels, including the apparatus and the mind itself are continuously interpreted to fit the "meaning" given to them. If you think that some incomplete interpretation made up by the mind which hasn't even finished interpreting itself as the "fixed, correct interpretation", then I can only just laugh.
It's tautological. The pixels don't mean anything without meaning anything.
I used words like "senses", "mind", "apparatus" etc. as if they are fact.... but wait, where am I getting these words from to begin with? The mind! How can I reasonably believe what it makes up, when not only is everything it says "made up", but also itself "made up"?
The mind says "You are still short, look at that! I am using my useless, incomplete apparatus that I am used to to tell you that you are short even if I am not myself stable and have not finished interpreting anything at all... I am never done. But who cares? What I say is fact because that's the level of authority you have given to me. Thanks, my friend. I will keep showing you the same thing over and over and make good use of this authority which you keep giving to me for god knows what reason! All use is abuse when it comes to me, though, hehehehehe."
Even what it said here is all made up, by the way.
If you are taking its incomplete interpretation of "I am short" as truth, then to be precise, it's not that you're taking the non-existent mind as truth. There's nothing there, after all. All you're doing is "knowing" that you're short. In other words, being short. And successfully, you are short.
Like I said at the beginning, either you're tall or you're short. No matter how you come about what you are or where you get the idea of what you are, the point is that it's still what you think the indefinable " " means, right now. So, there is no "mind" that's here trying its best to delude you. All there is is YOU and what it means, right now. There is no "mind" here to blame for what " " is defined as, right now, for it is nothing but a product of the definition itself. Everything is downstream from what you define reality as. There's freedom because reality can be defined as anything right now.
Yes, the mind still comes up with its useless interpretations of a form, colours, a world, a body etc. whatever which continue to be useless because only the "definition" being given right now is intact and complete. But even if the mind does come up with all those, it's already clear that they don't have any meaning. When it says "you are short", are you short? The definition is that "you're tall". That's what you know. That's what is relevant. That's what IS. What does this mean? The idea of "you're short" simply doesn't exist anymore. All there is is the idea that "you're tall". Absolutely nothing else exists.
The idea that "I am short" and the idea that "I am tall" cannot simultaneously exist. It's one or the other. Can " " ever be defined as a "square circle"? What is that other than a misapplication of two definitions which were defined to be contradictory to begin with?
So when y'all say, "I am tall but the mirror is saying I am short". All I hear is absurdity because like I said, the mirror doesn't exist and is saying nothing of the sort. At that particular moment, " " is simply defined to be short, but apparently, it's not because you want it to be defined as such, but because some made-up mirror said something. No, nothing said anything. All that happened was " " was defined to be "I am short". Your reasons don't count. Only what it's defined as, right now, counts.
"Hey, I am tall but... I am short" š¤”
Ironically, some people use "seeming" as if that means anything. The entire point of using that word was to point out how these "seeming" appearances don't mean anything. But instead, people use it as another synonym for reality.
"Hey, I am tall but... I seem to be short." š¤”
I don't see the difference between the previous clown sentence and this one given the way "seem" is used in this sentence.
If "seeming" was correctly used in a sentence, it would be like this:
"That's it? Come on, use the word "but""
"Okay. I am tall but I am tall."
That's right. The correct usage for the word is not using it at all. Why? Because it doesn't mean anything!
So if you're tall, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS TELLING YOU THAT YOU ARE SHORT. Therefore, you are tall. Very simple.
Some people like to create more creative sentences:
"I am tall. That's what I am. Only the form is such that I am short."
Just as absurd. This is like saying being "tall" is some vague inner experience, not the literal form of it. NO. It's literal.
The above sentence reads as: "I am tall in my imagination but I am short in reality"
Don't tell me about "imagination". Tell me about reality. Why does it matter what you visualise in your head? Either REALITY(read that again) is "I am short" or "I am tall". You are free to visualise or daydream about being short or tall, just as reality is free to be defined as whatever. So if reality is that you're tall, you're tall. What your mirror shows doesn't matter, what it shows is only what you think it shows and it doesn't show reality. There's no mirror. It doesn't show anything. Let me be straight. What your "senses" show don't mean anything. What you "visualise" doesn't mean anything. The only thing that means anything is exactly what reality currently means. In your(the anon's) case, "I am tall".
The mind may say you are short, but you are tall. And... the mind isn't saying you are short, either. There's no mind, either. The mind doesn't need to change what it is showing because what you think it's showing is not there. You don't change what the mind is showing you. Reality simply is defined as whatever you want. Read between the lines: The non-existent mind may eventually show exactly that "you are tall" with everything, mirrors and what not, confirming it. But it's not anything changing. It's the definition of "I am tall" which you know is 100% true becoming clearer to the mind, closer to what reality is defined to be. Nothing changed. Not the non-existent mind. Not reality. Neither changed. Reality just is perceived clearly but at the same time, it was always perceived clearly.
For the "interpretive process" to even work, there has to be something REAL to interpret. What the mind thinks is REAL is what it continuously interprets to clarify what reality is. If the reality is that you're tall, then that's exactly what the mind will proceed to interpret reality as. If instead you think the mind's interpretations(like "You're short") are REAL, then that would be what the mind proceeds to interpret and thus successfully reinforce. It's a never-ending process. The interpreting never stops. There's always more to clarify further and further but none of its "interpretations" are a fixed snapshot that could be taken as reality. Reality is what is known and that is exactly what the mind proceeds to interpret and match. The mind's interpretations are NOT REAL. They are illusory. Non-existent. Literally.
It's to be expected that I sound so confusing. It's the limitation of language. No matter how I put it... it feels like it could be misinterpreted. So all I can say is it's all literal AND metaphorical. Read between the lines. šµāš«
Moreover, I kept saying "you" define it or something like that. Once again, language. There's no burden on a "you" AT ALL. There's no "you". There's only what reality is currently defined as. And like I said, it's always what is relevant to you. If being tall is what you consider relevant, that is exactly what IS and what " " defined to be. You know that IS. What's relevant to you, right now, is simply what is known. There's no "everything being a chaotic mess because all your fleeting "desires" seem to manifest one after the other" or "some external god deciding what's relevant to you".
In other words, THERE'S NOTHING TO DO. If what is known is already exactly what is relevant and perfect for you before you could even seemingly think of it and try to get it, and that is already what IS, and becomes "clearer" to you naturally, what possibly could there be to do? There's neither any need to control nor someone who could control. It's spontaneous, sudden and perfect in EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD. What you want to be the case right now is what IS, and this becomes "clearer" to you naturally. "Clearer" to you that it's already perfectly clear to you.
I pushed the limits of language as best as I could. What I said barely captures it, of course. Like I said in the masterlist, introspection, intuition and direct experience are better reflectors of the truth. But if you think it's a great description that you somehow didn't find confusing, good enough. š
