What was life like a year ago?

“As boring as it is, pretty much the same as it is now. Minus Lulu and all. Uhm, I was in Europe a lot more, but sadly didn’t get to experience much because it was all for work.”

“I really don’t like heights...”

“They still could have some of the bad traits that the breeds have. Which terrifies me, still. I feel like a mum and he’s just a dog,” she smiled with a nod. “I don’t know. I’m nervous. I’m a perfectionist, so this makes me nervous.”

“Well, Lulu has his problems but that doesn’t make him a bad cat...” It was easy to tell he wanted to be defensive, passive as he was. “He’s like my son, so I get the parent aspect but yeah...” trying to push past it, he let his shoulders rise and fall. “Ah, no one’s really perfect. I find the best moments can be the ones in which they throw us off expectations or even when we mess up.”

“Exactly. I’ve gotten points taken off of things in K-12 schooling, even though I have the right answer, the methodology I’ve used to get the answer wasn’t the way my teachers wanted me to. And look at me now, I have a masters degree and I work a pretty lucrative job.”

“In math?” Jordan wasn’t terribly knowledgeable on her life so h simply wanted clarity. “Either way, you did make a pretty good life for yourself.”

“Technically I was in there to get out the trying thief.” He chortled good naturedly.

“True. And they are the same breed, so at least I know what she is and to know the health risks that could come along with that breed. I was very paranoid at first about the health risks yorkies might have, so I’m thankful it’s just one breed to worry about,” she smiled at him. “Oh, Corny can be like that. And he’s so small that I accidentally step near him, luckily not on him, but it’s like worrying about every step.” Raising her eyes up at him, the Brit laughed. “I don’t know. I think I would massively embarrass myself.”

“Mutts of any species are genuinely more healthy, though because of spread genes and evolution and all sorts of things.” Pointing out rather fairly as he nodded along to her continuation. “But you’d get respect for trying and probably have fun in the process.”

“Not just all coffee, right? Too much is actually really bad for you, soda, too.” His health nut side bringing out his concerns. “So, it takes longer than a few weeks over all?”

Holly was still a little tired from her week, having to be in two different cities in two days, then flying home and having some extra work to do, that she got off on the wrong subway stop to head to grab some dinner. She felt like an idiot, but she didn’t come over to this street that much. “Sorry to be a pain, but do you have any food suggestions?” She asked the person who looked nice that walked by her.

Jordan looked up from his phone to the accented voice that piped up to his left. Blinking at the redhead when a question he was quite the expert on came. “Ah, that depends what you’re into. Personally, I love their authentic Korean restaurant whenever I’m homesick. They also have a good Mexican place that’s pretty cheap for a decent amount of food and lots more.”

“Plus cheese wiz just has a weird taste. Or maybe that’s just me. It tastes like it’s been in a can for a while. Probably safer off that we didn’t eat it,” she nodded as she scrunched her face in thought. “Yeah, I think that makes the pain worth it a little. I was actually pregnant with Denise. So she was my blessing during all that. Although now, sometimes she’s a nightmare,” Sadie joked as she nodded. “Oh wow. That’s crazy.” Sadie couldn’t help but laugh, nodding her head. That would not end well at all.”

“I like it... It can be good on a few things and is cheap.” Jordan didn’t grow up exactly comfortable, so he found lots of appreciation in cheaper food sources even to this day. “Ah, it does and aren’t all kids nightmares? Or at least have their moments.” It wasn’t like he was an expert on the subject.

“Oh yeah. I do love the end result though. When one of my clients get put on a best dressed list, I feel like I should pat myself on the back,” she smiled as she gently pat her back as a joke. “I feel that. I mean, I don’t do that as a job, but I know what it’s like to feel that way. Once November hits, award season starts saying their nominations and then I start doing everything for that. But, I get to look at a ton of dresses, so I do like that.”

“So, it’s safe to say you’re going to be running off caffeine and sugar for a long while or is it just for the first few weeks?” Unsure of how the whole process works. He had a model friend of his, but it wasn’t necessarily the same celebrity realm that Rosie worked in.

“So I was helping my 5th grade daughter with homework this weekend, and when we got to math, it confused me so much. And that’s coming with someone who works with statistics. Anyways, how’s it going?”

“I could, but then, she’ll probably get a note from her teacher being like, “The reason why we teach kids this method is so they can readily apply it to real life situations, and blah blah blah”...”

Jordan couldn’t help rolling his eyes at the probability. “That’s ignorance on their part. There’s more than one way to learn and so long as they get the right result, who cares?”

“Amazon! That counts, right?”

What do you consider to be your best find?

“Lulu, of course! Maybe instagram? It’s been a great motivational tool for me in many ways and the feeling of making people’s days make my own. Plus, so much random content, you’ll never get bored scrolling through it.”

“Maybe a few certain political people.”

“I miss some cousins and friends back in Korea.”
