Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Martha's recipe. Turned out pretty good. Put too much orange zest in it do it was a little citrusy. Crust was amazing as usual! Maybe a little thick. Yum!

Chocolate devil's food cake with vanilla swiss meringue buttercream Recipe: cake http://www.marthastewart.com/318202/moist-devils-food-cake Buttercream http://www.marthastewart.com/283886/swiss-meringue-buttercream Substitutions or alterations: I didn't use Dutch process cocoa powder, because where do you get that? I added real vanilla bean to the buttercream. Mmmmm! This should have been a three layer cake, but I only had two pans, so it became a two layer. Results: amazing! It could have been moister, maybe next time I'll add sour cream. The buttercream was amazing! My piping skills need work. A lot of work.
Fluffy vanilla cake with whipped vanilla bean frosting. Recipe: http://sweetapolita.com/2011/07/fluffy-vanilla-cake-with-whipped-vanilla-bean-frosting/ Substitutions or changes: I didn't have cake flour, so I substituted all purpose (less 2 tablespoons/cup). I also used a mixture of 2% and heavy cream in place of whole milk. I cut the sugar in the icing - probably used about 1/2 cup less. Results: The cake was a little too dense, not "fluffy" like the recipe suggested, which was most definitely because of my flour substitution. The icing was also so buttery...almost sickeningly so! Cuttin the sugar was a mistake - the proportions were off. Overall, it was tasty, but super rich. I could have done better!!
