She laughed, hand going over her mouth as she tried to look serious. “I’m going to pretend to be surprised, okay?” She said, then widened her eyes and let her jaw fall slightly before her lips shifted into a grin. “My main form of communication when I was a kid was pretty much just yelling. My parents even took me to the ear doctor because they were sure I couldn’t hear. Turns out my hearing was nearly perfect. I was just very, very loud.” She mused with a chuckle. As Jordyn’s arm went around her, she nestled into the blonde, wasting no time making herself comfortable. “Deal. But only if I go first, you agree to make mine say ‘right behind you.’ Promise?” She joked, but held up her pinky as though she were making a serious pact.” She had a moment to be grateful she’d never broken her candy habit with the happiness it brought the girl. She gave an exaggerated, but affectionate, roll of her eyes.

Her expression went serious as she tilted her head, as if she were in thought. After a moment, she nodded, wry smile tugging at the corner of her lips. “Play your cards right, and I’ll appreciate those later.” She offered, trying her best to tone down her smile. She was kidding - mostly. Ryann was naturally flirtatious - and she had never been more comfortable with anyone than she was with Jordyn. She saw no reason to change her behavior when it came easily. Anything else felt wrong with them. The fact of the matter was, the girl would always be her best friend, relationship or not. Grin widened as she took Jordyn’s hand in her own. “You’re trouble, you know that?” She asked as she was pulled to her feet.

“Jesus. Can you imagine what it would’ve been like if we had known each other as kids?” Jordyn laughed loudly, shaking her head. She knew they had very similar personalities, it was why they got along so well. But hearing this information of child-Ryann was mindblowing. They were, without a doubt, kindred spirits. And it made sense that the universe had bought them together. It was very rare that Jordyn used the term soulmates, but she was so sure, so certain that Ryann was one of hers. “Definitely a deal,” she giggled, locking her pinkie with the brunettes, sealing the promise - though the pact was joke - with a kiss to the tip of Ryann’s nose. Jordyn always sealed her pinkie promises with a kisses, whether they were serious or not.

The blonde’s lips curled into an amused smile, eyebrows raised slightly as Ryann attempted to fight her own smile. “I’mma hold you to that,” she kneed the girl's leg gently. The flirting never ended, and to be honest, Jordyn never wanted it to. The day it ended would mean that things between the two had changed, the ease and the comfort between them gone. The day it ended would mean something between them was just wrong, and that would devastate her. “Of course I know I’m trouble. Pretty sure everyone knows it,” she laughed. “Besides. Professor Lauper said it perfectly herself. Girls just wanna have fu-un,” she sung, turning to walk in the direction of the coffee shop, pulling the brunette to walk beside her. “And you know you wouldn’t have me any other way.”
