Jon saw the tears and backed letting him go. He made a face like he was upset with himself and shook his head. “I can’t,” he said before moving by Joris and straight for the stairs down to the first level. It was mostly flooded now and freezing.Or it would have been if he could feel the cold. It was bad enough he looked week right now, but He had scared the little shifter again. He didn’t know why he didn’t like upsetting that one. Jon stood in the water finally away from the bulk of the crowd. But now where would he go. The storm outside was bad. The one in his mind was worse.
He wasn’t sure if Joris had followed. He assumed not after all he was nothing to the shifter. And there is a far better master than him for him. "Why are you even here Jon Reyes. You’re not your father, And, You sure as hell are not Jack"
Jor sniffled and wiped his eyes. He was so stupid, he probably made Jon think he hated him. Why did he have to freeze like that? He had to do something, to make it up to him, or at least stop him from drowning. Grabbing a handful of the cookies someone had been kind enough to provide, he took off in the direction Jon had gone.
Unfortunately, it was cold outside. The sun was down, it was still pouring down rain, and he had to wade through massive puddles as soon as he got outside. He could feel his body temperature dropping, and how much slower he was, but fortunately Jon was very loud and he didn’t have to spend much time looking for him. “Jon, wait,” he wheezed, “slow down. I’m sorry! You just startled me, we can do anything you want. But let’s get out of the rain.”
