One week into Free Agency and we know the Astros are interested in every Free Agent in the market. That's why it's called "RUMORS". Also another rumor that popped recently is trading George Springer or Alex Bregman for an elite pitcher HMMM Chris Sale. Let's not forget that baseball is a business and the team has a window of opportunity that it's RIGHT NOW. The last 25 years the Astros have given up a lot of promesing players for proven players that were suppose to make a difference and take the team to the promise land and that one trade was back in 1990 when the Astros traded Larry Andersen for Jeff Bagwell aka Bagpipes. Since than we have traded Bill Doran, Glenn Davis, Curt Schilling, Ken Caminiti, Steve Finley. Freddy Garcia and Jose Guillen for Randy Johnson (rental), Brad Ausmus, Carl Everett, Derek Bell, Mike Hampton, Jose Lima, Scott Elarton, Nelson Cruz, Billy Wagner, Geoff Blum. John Buck and Octavio Dotel for Carlos Beltran (3 team deal + rental), Ben Zobrist. Jason Hirsch, Taylor Bucholz and Willy Taveras for Jason Jennings and Pedro Asencio. Brad Lidge, Eric Bruntlett. 5 players for Miguel Tejada who was actually 2 years older than he was claiming at the time. Roy Oswalt for 3 players who were traded away. Lance Berkman for 2 players that were traded away. Hunter Pence for 4 players, 3 traded away and Singleton in AAA cause he can't hit. Michael Bourn for 4 players that have been traded away. Happ and Lyon traded for 6 players, 5 traded away and Musgrove is breaking out. Only positive trade so far is Cosart and Hernandez for Moran, Martes and Marisnick. From July 31st 2010 to July 31st 2011 (1 calendar year) we traded Oswalt, Berkman, Pence and Bourn for 13 players that were so called prospects and 5 years later we only have 2 players left, John Singleton and Joe Musgrove. LET THAT SINK IN. The point is we can keep Bregman doesn't mean he'll have a meaningful career. We can trade him plus some other players and we can actually be in a Win-Win situation. We can get a 27 year left hander who had eclipse 200+ the last 4 seasons and under team control for the next 3 seasons. You do the math #inlunhowwetrust
