Fury: revision 1
I've been working on Berserk Fury's top problem areas lately. Those being weight, the foot setup, the squeaking sounds, and anatomical accuracy compared to the CG references. I've trimmed down close to 16 pounds off the shoulder bearing load, and there's another good 8 pounds I can trim from the feet. That won't make as much of a difference in the weight department because it's not part of the constant weight bearing load, but it will make walking a little bit easier I hope. Now that the buster claws are much lighter as well (replaced heavy PVC and metal parts with a vacuum part) I may be able to remove the reinforcing dowel I had running through the pack. That would be another easy half pound. Every ounce counts at this point.
I was told that a pound in the morning is like 10 pounds at night, so trim, trim, and trim some more. When I'm done I might actually try to get a true weight on Fury instead of my fall back of "Somewhere between 80 and 180" >.<
